Holy crap this is amazing. I love the growing terror that feeling of being trapped you display without every spelling it out. How there is that undertones of determination and desperation all the while she knows that her sacrifice will make all the difference.

Oh my! That was powerful. She didn't love him at all, but just gave her body to keep the darkness at bay. Oh my. I'm stunned by this piece.
