It IS true though, that it would be hit upon more in the book section, but I am happy to have read it.

Very nice! Seems like you captured the duty-inspired despair well. Of course, it didn't help your rhythm that you made me start singing as off-key rendition of "Suicide" with your words...but that's okay, despite my mangling of it, it was great! ;) Yes, good wording and good emotion. Really gets to the heart of the character...can I say "heart" when it's about Javert, or will he hurt me? Anyway, excellent emotion and fits the scene quite well!
