You said this was once going to be a part of a more ambitious fic, am I correct? I think you should go for it. What's the worst that could happen. Besides, if anyone flames you, direct their flames to me and I'll deal with them for you. I don't think this is a sad excuse for Ino/Lee at all, by the way. You actually did quite well. There are only THREE Ino/Lee fics on to begin with, so I personally think there should be more. I'm doing research before I write my own (I don't know Character Personalities that well)
Anyway, sorry to bore you with my long review. This was an amazing thing to read, though. You did well.

Ino and Lee... Now there's a crack pairing if I ever saw one! But this was very clever and original. And it works great as just a oneshot. I don't think InoLee could be believably carried out in anything longer, lol...

Oh ya, have you noticed? Shika/Ino seems to be quite a popular pairing as well as Shika/Tem.

So maybe you could change the story a little, and not make Ino look so freakin' miserable... lol!
