A grim outlook - but one that was entirely too possible. This is such a lyrical piece, with beautiful imagery. And though Kagome has lost her youthful heart and Sesshoumaru is no longer invincible, they are still, at the core, themselves. Magnificent.

Well holy buttered toast. That was insanely good. What really struck me was how you presented immortality, not as a gift or even a blessing and a curse, but just a curse. It reminda me a lot of Lord of the Rings and Arwen's situation. The shampoo reference just about killed my laugh box too. -favs-

Nice...very nice! I couldn't write realistic stories to save my life but I love seeing them written so well by others. There's just this imagery you created that makes me feel slightly wistful when reading this.

Still, there's this sliver of hope that makes everything much better. In the end Kagome will always have Sesshoumaru and Shippou...even if she does die.

This was an absolutely fabulous piece. The imagery was stunningly vivid, the characterization was superb, and the overall feel of this story was one of bitter, exquisite sadness that few stories manage to capture. I hope to see more one-shots like this. Thank you so much for a fantastic read.

That was sublime. It was bittersweet and cynical and hopeful all at the same time, and both Sesshoumaru and Kagome were wonderful.

God, this is so fucking beautiful. It's sugar-coated poison. Or not. Because you didn't cut Kagome or Sesshoumaru any slack, and they're there, in all the harshness that they've become accustomed to. And yet, it's still so very soft...

i thought you only draw well (ok - brilliant is the word i ought to use) but you also are a very, very good writer. apart from the elegant choice of words, you have got this sensible outlook on s/k relationship in this story that makes it so much better than many stories i've read previously.

the thing i liked most was the open-eyed outlook on immortality, a far cry from the usual girl-hooks-up-with-demon-lives-happily-ever-after thing.

apart from that, i know it's quite difficult to keep sesshoumaru in character and still write an excellent non-canon pairing story, which is what you have succeeded in - congratulations.

This story is a wonderful read. It's unique, and gives readers a new look at how things can happen. And for once, Sesshomaru stays in character fully. Including the fact that he only has one arm.
