Although, I also thought that Tom should have been more carefree, since he apparently did not find out about Janets and so forth until after he had met Polly. Although, apparently Laurel also took him for nine years before, so it's possible that she made him forget. Well done! I love Fire and Hemlock. Too bad it's one of those stories where a sequel is impossible. |

Although i'm surprised that tom would have met mrs. whittacker when he was young. and the touch where charles was living at the hundson house with tom and laurel. because i always thought that mr. piper and tom would have not lived together. but after reading F&H again, i had to agree, yes, they might have stayed at the hundson house for a while.(which would have made it easier for mr. piper to take tom's picture for laurel...) one thing i had to point out: i thought that tom might have been a slightly happer child when he was living with laurel. because i read in F&H that the photo that polly stole was a picture of tom looking very carefree. in the fic, it seened that he was being suppressed by laurel most of the time. (you managed to portray laurel as a scary pedophile! i can harly imagine her MARRYING tom much later!) overall, i think i liked this better than shine. wonderful job done! kudos to you for branching away from the usual HMC and chrestomanci fics on the DWJ section. you've inspired me to put up my F&H fic as well... |
