abuseI found this story and I liked it, I thought it was very good, I don't know if you are still on fanfiction but if you are then I hope you continue, although i know it was a long time ago. I am from Brtian too, amd i am sure if you post another chapter now, more people will respond, beciuase there seems to be less flames these days and more nice reviewers, well it was a good story anyway and I hope maybe in the future there will be another chapter becuae I am curious whether the body is really Nick?

abuseDear Special & Evil,

Thank you for the most kind response to my review. In response to your question, I stayed in London, though I did take a few trips -- namely to Cardiff and Glasgow.

My story is rather like yours, in and of the fact that there were once two people sharing my username. Unfortunately, that username was "Frankie the Wonder Wiener Dog" -- a sad tribute to my childhood pet. But when Mila, my shadow, left to start her own account, I decide I needed something catchy... out of the ordinary. So I asked 3 people from work to think of random words. Put them all together and, viola! Me.

Of course, Mila is quick to point out that the acronym of Purple Artichokes from Mars is "PAM". She likes calling me that. Hmph.

Yes, my anti-Greg goal does garner me many reactions of that nature. What I can't understand is why so many people like him.

Don't worry, I like Grissom, so I'm not going to go on a "Let's see how many times we can kill Grissom in a fanfic" spree. Though I do have issues with the beard.

What episode am I up to? I'm eagerly awaiting to see "4 x 4", which will air tonight for the first time. The last one I saw was "Spark of Life."

It's fascinating to read what you wrote about geography. When I studied geography, we had to memorize many things. All the states in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil. The countries in the United Kingdom, all the former Soviet republic... In our exam, we were given a blank map of the world, a blank map of the United States, a blank map of Canada, a blank map of Mexico, a blank map of Brazil, and a blank map of the United Kingdom, and we were forced to identify all countries and states and provinces thereof. And major cities. Very difficult. Though it might explain why I'm rather tetchy about geography. ;-)

No I have never played Need for Speed. I might get around to it one day, though, and if I do, I *will* look out for the Hummer.

It is not so much that your story has incorrect information -- except for such small things such as the Tahoe and the Texas-Las Vegas issue -- but that, to me, your characters are acting wildly out of character. But if you truly wish for me to be your beta reader, I'd be happy to.

Until your next review,
~ Arti

I am older than 17 but younger than 30.

ch 1,
abuseI enjoy tea as well.

Would you like constructive criticism? I can give it. The Stokes family would have taken at least 19 hours driving, or, if they flew, 3 hours.

For your information, there never was any big fuss about 'Maggots' here on , which, all things considered, is rather weak in the CSI department. Rather, in the right circles, there WAS a rather big fuss. Besides, it is a drabble, and that's all.

As to your opinion that any love story involving Jim should be banned, I personally could not care less. I, myself, think that any love story involving Greg should be banned (Greg slash more than anything), but the obvious popularity of Greg seems to be the one thing standing between me and my Anti-Greg goal.

You hate my name? Well, that's all right. I hate your name too. My name quite suits me. It's much better than my previous name ("Frankie the Wonder Wiener Dog") or my best mate's name ("Communist Llama"). But truly -- "special evil"? What's so special about you? Are you really evil? Right.

But that's off topic.

For your information, I *did* read your bio, and am quite aware that you are British. Personally, I have nothing against British people -- I studied there for a year myself. However I *am* quite against not researching for fics. I wrote a novelette once which took place in Britain and carefully researched every aspect of British life which could even remotely pertain to my story, and then, to top it off, sent it to two British beta-readers (my "Brit-pickers") to make sure I didn't make any stupid blunders.

On that count, I can probably excuse the fact that you would not know that Texas is quite so far from Las Vegas. However I know enough about the geography of Great Britain to know that you can't drive from London to Glasgow in half an hour.

The cars they drive are quite obvious. They are in all of the episodes. You can even see the words "Tahoe" on them. (The irony being that they drive Tahoes near Lake Tahoe, but that is quite off topic.)

I am glad that Ali7 found the maggots in the story amusing -- that was the point of including them. And as to your comment about Catherine/Warrick, I wrote this story just before being converted to the cause. (That ep where they're crawling down the drain and ALMOST kill ... has that aired in Britain yet?)

One last thing before I wrap up my epic novel-length rant:
Grissom being out of character is just that. We saw how he reacted when Holly Gribbs was shot... and it was definitely not as extreme as you have written here. Grissom sounds like a teenaged girl. For Greg, that's ok. But Grissom...

Until your next flame...

ch 5,
abuseRight...

OK, some things first.

Nick's parents live in Texas. That is NOT half an hour away. It's about 1959 kilometers away (1217 miles... that's assuming that it's Dallas, Texas we're talking about).

Next, if the crime scene has anything to do with anybody -- ie: if the csi's know the person -- they would immediately be taken off of the case. So either day shift or the FBI or another CSI division elsewhere would take the case.

Third, Grissom does not drive a Hummer. The CSIs drive Tahoes. And Grissom does not say "um."

Right... that's all... for now...

In case you havent noticed... I didn't read it. Some other time perhaps. When I can be bothered and like CSI. Yes. That would be pretty good...
