That was beautiful. I loved their reasons for choosing sides. "For Beauty" and "For Truth".
I loved the poem at the end - so fitting. I also liked how you kept the characters faceless. The characters could be whoever you wanted them to be. They reminded me of Molly and Narcissa (even though neather of them lost their spouses), and at the same time they seemed to be just two random women.
Thiis one is definatly going on my favourites list.

Well...I don't usually comment, but I thought this was incredibly touching. Of course, it may just be me getting sentimental as the last book looms nearer ;) I love that the actual characters aren't stated, the reader can relate extraordinarily, since they can put any charcter in each place.

GOSH. wow. wow wow wow!! this story is so pure, so original, so beautiful.. i cant even come up with the words to describe it. there is nothing like this in all of the fanfics ive read, and the sincerity this had.. and every sentece sent my mind spinning, making sense of things as well as making me connect it to my life.. i think thats what makes a story amazing: that it not only tells a story, but it is capable making the reader reflect on his/her own life.. to feel it in my heart in this eerie, unique way... you have a true gift for writing! this story is the best ever! :D

My originial intention in starting to read this fic was to figure out who the two women were. But, at the end of the fic, I found it didn't really matter. The fic was better off without names.

This fic was, above all else, inspiring. It's one-of-a-kind among the masses of "after the final battle" fanfiction, and really gets you thinking.

On top of all this, I have a request for you. I said this fic was inspiring, and I'd like to go with the insirational feeling. I've had some fic ideas the could come off of this fic. With your permission, I could make the story longer and give the characters names.

PS: I think the two women were not central Harry Potter characters. I think they were Original Characters, two of the many who split and fought on either the dark side or the light side.

I loved this story, because it's so true. No matter which side you fight for, everyone loses in the end, and no one can escape unscathed.
Plus, I love the poem.

i wasn't quite sure who the characters were, although i did have a general idea. I'm thinking Pansy and Hermione? Although who they're mourning for could be completely unexpected... I'm always one for twists, so i'm imagining complications where there may not be any.

Anyway, i loved the bonding you described between the two women, it was very heart-felt, and (redundant, i know) heart-warming!!

wow. this is amazing. i love that we don't know who exactly the people talking are because you can make them anyone you want. for some reason my mind was on Pansy Parkinson and Penelope Clearwater... Don't know why. Maybe becaues i'm working on a percy/penny oneshot. This was really really good though.

While reading I thought Hermione and Pansy and then in reflection I thought Narcissa and Molly and then my mind even experimented with Tonks and Bella (I know crazy Huh)but thats the thing about a good story its limitless

Yay! I just found this story and I'm glad I have. It was so well written, as your stories always are. I love the fact that you kept the characters open, so that the reader saw who they wanted. For some reason, although why I chose these two makes me sad, but I thought it was Molly Weasley and Narcissa Black. Although to think that Arthur died... I don't want to think about that.
