I'm glad she did not decide on "murder"/suicide. Your ending left open some hope that Severus may yet find himself someday in the future.

Very, very, hauntingly beautiful. It was...very good. I really liked it!! :)
I don't know if you've seen The Dark Knight, but it left me with the same kind of feeling at the end. Like...a glimmer of hope in a chaotic world, or something equally poetic and confusing and beautiful and frightening. :)

Love the story--glad you don't plan to continue it, doing so would lessen the emotion & impact.

A moving, though bittersweet short story. Sometimes it's good to read something other than 'happy ending' type stories.

Gosh--this piece is so powerful. It stands well alone. Wow--what can I say? Usually fics with little to no dialogue are hard and painful to read through, but you have managed to grap my attention here with such an iron-strong grip that I had no choice but to read it through over and over again, letting the emotions so wonderfully depicted here wash over me. Amazing. Simply amazing.

i actually like how you had it end. any other way would have contradicted their characters. i especially like that she didnt brake his wand. nice touch!

very good work, you are very skilled at bringing out emotion; i enjoy all of your stories.

however, this review is actually off-topic. i noticed the lyrics at the beginning. i will admit, i have not seen the musical version of dr. dolittle (though my mom owns it), but i was curious whether you had read any of the books by hugh lofting. they remain among my favorite childhood books, and if you haven't had the opportunity, i strongly recommend reading them. ;)

That was brilliant. I've always had the thought in the back of my mind that once the war was over, and Voldemort gone, Snape wouldn't have much to live for... He's just not the kind of character I can see changing enough to find a purpose. I'd always envisioned him either dying a lonely old man, or getting killed in the war - neither of which make me or any of the Snape fans happy. But then, not everything's cake and a happy ending.
