I've enjoyed reading this one-shot and I'm glad you're friend prodded you to do it. It was nice really.

Actually this is one of the best angst stories I've ever read. It does contain the angst part in which Chrno realizes how it was to be when someone close to him died because of himself. But to alter his attention, there goes Rosette, pretty much alive and all.

But what I liked most in this story is, the very well-written of how the characters communicate with one another. It's not fluffy or anything, it is simply how we see in the episodes/manga chapters. The way you speak for Rosette, it's very realistic and very reasonable.
