In this and the Destiny's Pawn series you have created what I always believed the crew of the Ebon Hawk to be - a family, supporting each other through difficult times, and sharing the laughs and good times together. After finishing KotOR II, I must say that I need to go back to that feeling created in KotOR, as the second game left much to be desired, story- and character-wise. I absolutely adore your Destiny's Pawn series and can't wait for the continuation of the story (you write the characters so well, and I particularly enjoy the adventures of our little band as experienced by the whole of the crew together. It really adds such a depth and so much feeling to the story and the characters... Exactly what I imagined during the game), especially now that we are approaching the most perilous of stops - the Leviathan and the shocking revelation that is to come. I'm also looking forward to Korriban, and a chance for more developments between Kairi and Carth, with Dustil thrown in there to torment our poor, suffering hero. But probably mst importantly of all, I am looking forward to the Unknown world, and the "love celebrated under the stars" of that planet by our two main characters. I'm just a sucker for a good romance and Carth is such a hunk... ;o) Can't wait for more of your fantastic writing. |
| Squeaky 2005-02-16 ch 1, anon. | abuseThis was a brilliant short. Brought tears to my eyes, and captured the characters beautifully. A negative critique? I would have liked to get a better sense of Mission's relationship with the other wookies. She seems to resent having to live amongst them, and though her cheering up at the end makes a kind of sense, I never got the feeling that she, deep down, actually enjoyed any aspect of wookie-dom. But heavens, this was just a wonderful story. I do wish you'd complete your original Kotor tale as well :) |
