I really love your stories, the whole gmen series, actually... Like really really love. Its so fun to read! But I just noticed that in this part of the series there's a lot of parallels to naruto and sasuke in embracing dreams... both the nice kind boys who are entranced by the pretty twitchy touch-shy stranger h and push a relationship.. and then both jin and naruto are be scared of blood.. i was just thinking, so your combining both parts of the series now, that might be confusing or just be repetive... But whatever; you still write better than anyone else on .
I can't believe I've never reviewed this chapter! I feel sure I did, but...whoops on my part then, I guess. Anyway.
I love their interaction already, and how Jin just talks about Touya /in front/ of Touya, so to speak. Very cute. As well as all of Touya's reactions to Jin as well. Jin developing a crush combined with Touya not really knowing what to do or say does feel very in character, when you think about it. It's nice for Touya being depicted not as emo, but just quiet and inexperienced with normal people. I also feel you did a good job at portraying Jin's open, honest mind, what with how he thinks and talks.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of the inhabitants of the house, especially Shikamaru (considering how often he is mentioned). You mentioned that you're a fan of Shino/Shika? That's actually one of the few pairings that never crossed my mind, but I don't think I'd mind seeing it written _ sounds fun.
I am hoping for a little more info about Touya's past (though I suspect it was not pleasant), and maybe a little about what Gaara's interest is as well. ; I do prefer the less homicidal Gaara, but it is your story!
Small, rather ridiculous question: Who was Naruto arguing with? ; You wrote a that he gets into a spat with a "tall boy with bushy brown hair and pale blue marks on his cheeks" and for the life of me I can't think of anyone from Naruto or YYH with those characteristics. I'm probably overlooking somebody really obvious, but...would you mind letting me know? Don't worry about it if it's too much trouble! I /am/ being rather silly here.
You know, it's funny, as I was re-reading this chapter, I remembered something I had scribbled in one of my notebooks, so I went to dig it out. Feel free to laugh it this, but I had actually written a fourth chapter! It was a while ago, just something to think on while I waited for you to actually write the chapter (and when it does get written, I'm sure it'll both be oodles better and nothing like what I wrote), but just think of that. XD you got someone writing fanfiction on your fanfiction.
so pretty... I haven't seen the series from which both Touya and Jin come from... but the story is so interesting... I love it already. Touya isn't completely holding himself back which I find very intruiging... considering any other character written into that sort of role would be completely distrusting, he isn't around Jin. I think it's refreshing in a way. Anyway... I can't wait for more!
hmm, this is nice too, and i can't wait for you to continue both gleam and uh, crap i can't remember the prequel's name, sorry, but i'm looking forward to the next updates! as for ideas for this fic, maybe you can go around and take a look at what all the other boys think about touya; then another alone moment just the two boys together, then finish it off with touya finally meeting everyone or most of everyone or even just a few ppl. i dunno, just an idea :)
I love this story! Jin and Touya are just so... Jin and Touya. And I want to know what Touya's running from to be leaving the hospital in the condition he was in! And about not carrying a conversation that didn't have death threats and gloating and suchlike... You've made me curious. Very curious. And when I'm curious I like to find out answers, because that's what one does when one's curious, but you haven't updated in over six months! Are you even meaning to update sometime?
I think you said the was a prequel to something else... Maybe I'll go read that. Of course, I like reading about people meeting and getting to know each other as much as I like meeting and getting to know new people. Which is a lot! And if this is a prequel, then they'll already know each other in the other one.
But then, Touya/Jin pairings are few and far between, so I'm going to read it. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow... I do have work tomorrow, and it's 10:30 pm. And I have to find that book on balloon animal making before I go to bed. What the heck! I'll finish this, find the book, then read your other stories!
...my god. I sound like Jin! Not that sounding like Jin is a bad thing, of course. You do it so well! I simply love your Jin. He's so forward. He holds no thought, no impulse back. He just is. He's a lot like me, in some ways. We fall for the same type anyway. Heh. The kind that look like they need protecting.
And Touya... Refusing to admit he was fond of Jin at first! Adorable. And so... innocent isn't the word for it. Not with someone as jaded as him. But so inexperienced with people.

Ah, yes! More of the delicious drug of fanfiction! Thankfully I've gotten much more into Naruto since this fic first started. Although you're good at making things easy to understand even when you cover multiple series that not everyone is familiar with. Anyone not familiar now with Naruto, though, must either live in a cave or simply not have cable.
Having Jin and Gaara talk was great, you do a really good job of having characters with very different personalities interact. Jin's look back on his first impression of Touya and his feelings already is really sweet. Infact, this whole chapter is pretty sweet and cute. Jin pretty much blurting 'Can I kiss you?' was great _ Just as good as his later refence to other things to do with mouths. I can't wait for the next chapter, this is turning out really good _
