I like how you've portrayed Rogue (and Dr. McCoy, as well). Very elegant style of writing.
An interesting idea to follow up with Rogue's relationship with Irene. It seems like it was never touched in the series. I'm waiting for the rest. :)

I've always been fascinated by what Rogue would have thought about Destiny or Irene after she left for Bayville. Once she knew the truth, how would she react? You've written a really good introspective piece.

It's sad, but it's very good.

I always thought that Rogue should have a feeling of betrayal towards Irene when she found out the truth about Mystique.
Because that had to hurt a whole lot more than what Mystique did since she was closer to Irene.

But I am an optimist and I hope that Rogue will forgive her foster mother. :)
