Well, apart from being almost two years too late with this review and suffering from terrible summer heat rather than snow I need to tell you that this is the cutest thing ever. It's the kind of cartoon thing you'd like to watch on a snowy christmas morning with a cup of hot chocolate next to you and a cat sleeping in your lap.

But reading it here at night with iced tea instead of coffee and the cat scratching at the furniture rather than being all cuddly I can still say that I absolutely love this story.

This is just so beautiful!

Christmas with the tentacles- I've never seen a self-insertion handled so well (I would assume the woman with the dog has a constant identity), with the backgrounds of holidays and the man who is one of your strongest characters. Reading your work shows a level of Octavious all others can strive to reach- you have him down, up, and sideways.

Funny. Very, very funny. I really like Otto, and giving him a merry Christmas is a cool gig.

Otto glanced down. The lower left tentacle had disobeyed his orders and peered out, and encountered a small dog on a leash. The dog, showing the lack of intelligence that plagued all its kind, had licked the cold metal pincer – and its tongue had stuck to it.

This could only happen to me… How the hell was he going to remove the dog without hurting it, or alerting the girl holding its leash?

GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA the mall scene was so priceless, I drew a lil comic featuring the antlers and hats! Nice little scene at the end. All in all, well written, perhaps a little over the top in some places, but we need humor to survive. Ending is bittersweet without being sappy, and i have fallen in love with drugging people to sleep ever since I read Danny the Champion of the World. Nice work. Keep it up.
