You should repost this for the holidays. It was very good, especially for someone who says they don't write. I not a fan of candy canes and you've left me craving them. The snowman & the candy troll were hysterical. I was a little confused about the "nutmeg drinking". Did you mean eggnog? Either way it's a fun mystery and well worth a reposting.

That was HILARIOUS! I loved it!

Oh WOW! This is great! So funny. Though it's a bit weird reading a Christmas story in July. But there you go. I loved it! Not only does it have a really comical plot it's also well written and full of detail. With loads of characters that most people don't bother with, Binns, Filch, Sinistra, Hooch...and It's good there's not much dialogue, it meant you got right into Harry's thoughts as they progressed! Very cool. It's good since it's sort of a bit serious behind the humour, like saying he hadn't had many sweets at the Dursleys, and how hurt he felt at Dumbledore's accusation. And the sweets at the beginning...ah, they made me feel so hungry! I might just go and grab some chocolate now.
There are a few tiddly little mistakes though. Like Dumbledore's eyes - you said they're grey, but they're blue...and I think this was a typing error but it's Filch not Filtch.
Great story - thanks for making me laugh!
