This was a very good story. I loved Jack's reactions to the situation and how he confronted Oma.

I have to tell you that I actually read through this twice. The first time, I didn't like it. I thought it was a bit odd that Danny didn't think twice about being in a grownup body and I made myself just skip to the end. And the end is what got me. So I went back and re-read it and I cried. This was just lovely. The sentiment between the two men was just wonderfully written - I loved it.

You captured something I've always believed, which is that Jack and Daniel need each other; I've always considered them to be at the base level of their relationship, like father and son (moreso than big brother/little brother).

Where you write about their foundations was sheer poetry. This was just...just a fantastic job.

You gotta love a fic where Jack says to Oma, "Now look what you've done. You gave him the hiccups." Hee. You combined two of my favorite fic themes- little Daniel being cared for by Jack, and ascension-related stuff. I liked how Oma brought them closer together. Very sweet.

What can I say. I really enjoyed this story. Wished it had been longer. The only thing that would have made it better, was if you had Jack tell adult Daniel he loved him too as a son/brother type thing.

Wonderful story that just tugs at the heart. Poor Daniel, his raw past brought back into the light, but this times things were different, this time he had Jack.

A great example of true friendship. Thanks for giving us this for christmas, your story is the perfect present.
