Izzia 2005-07-07 . chapter 1Very poetic! Enjoyable... and stuff! |
sakura_k 2005-07-05 . chapter 1 That was amazing. I didn't realise till I finished reading, but I was holding my breath.
Freaked me out a bit as well, because I've been messing with the idea of using Demolition Lovers in a fic, and Reno was one of the characters I had in mind. Although I doubt anything I could come up with would be this good...
I wanted to cry at the end, with the lines 'and as we’re falling down''I’ll see your eyes' because you just KNOW he's dead.
I already said this, but it's amazing, and you are a great author!

Vamptress RayZor 2005-01-22 . chapter 1Depressing... A great Reffie. I loved every second of both the poem and the ficlet. Continue writing Reffies, if for no one else but yourself.

Aceles 2004-12-28 . chapter 1I honestly don't think I breathed for the duration of that fic. Now, though neither Reno or Yuffie are my favorite characters, I love fanfictions about them. I don't think I've read a Reno/Yuf fic before, but you may have made me into a convert.
Damn you and your insanely beautiful fics.
The end was so sad...I read it twice. The first time I got the gist of what had happened, but the second time I really got it. Poetry-Prose does funny things to my head. ^^
Away!

thelittletree 2004-12-28 . chapter 1The wrong red. Jess, this was amazing, wonderfully terrible. I'm not really a Reno-Yuffie fan, if only because I've never really read a fic that did it right, but I love your writing style. This was incredible. The first part, the fiery addiction of love in the beginning...and then the second part, the crash, the wrong red. And you put those lines in... 'and as we’re touching hands' 'know how much I want to show you you’re the only one'...that made me want to cry, because the next moment we realize that he's dead. Just...amazing, terrible, wonderful! You and poetry equals something that's going to hit me in the heart and *hurt*. Even if it hadn't been a fic.
I'm glad you're still writing, honey! Hope you had a good Christmas! |
Crystal Snowflakes 2004-12-26 . chapter 1Wow, that left me speechless. Pretty amazing first part you wrote...and I loved the second one as well. Keep writing! =] |
Jen23 2004-12-26 . chapter 1This was yet another stunning piece of work from you. I could learn a lot from you but I could still never write something such as this. You are a true author in every sence of the word; very creative. You made this very believable.
I hope the moving is going fine and that you and your family had a very Merry Christmas, Jess. Jen |
Tijuana Pirate 2004-12-26 . chapter 1Hey Jess Angel,
... wow. Just wow. You have me struck speechless. Honestly. I can't think of what to say. I never could write poetry but I do like reading it sometimes. This... this was incredible. The first part was stunning. I read it once quickly because I was in a rush and then promised myself that I'd come back later to read every line carefully, the way it deserved to be read. It's amazing. You're amazing.
Reno, Yuffie, near the end. The image struck me dumb. Reno's eyes, wide and starring. Incredible, beautiful, painful. A lot of things. Every line of this story read like a punch in the gut. There are too many good ones to count. You didn't add in a single solitary superfluous word. Amazing.
Like I said, it's amazing, you're amazing. *grins* ... *clicks add to favourites* ... *more grinning* ^_~

 Sabriel41 2004-12-26 . chapter 1First - Merry Christmas, Jess!
.
That aside... I'm very, very impressed. The intertwining of the song is deceptively effortless throughout, and the intro double drabble is just gorgeous. Poetic and lyrical, but not so much that it loses any of its effect or meaning.
.
I'm not much of a fan of sad endings, nor of suicide, but it... fits. Yuffie's just reckless enough to do it. I don't think Tifa or Elena would have, but the shinobi girl - she's an all or nothing girl (at least to me) - and you don't linger on it, which makes it work. It's actually, upon a second read, rather fascinating to see how the narration and the song blend; perhaps the two ends of the spectrum aren't so different after all...
.
Cheers, and as always my Regards,

The Inimitable DA 2004-12-26 . chapter 1*Squeaks and glomptackles* Love! ^_^ Love love love love love! The first drabble made me shiver, it was so passionate. I liked the use of formatting. Reading it that way really worked to heighten the impact of the whole thing; I honestly felt as if I was drowning there with them. *Sighs* Like sipping fine brandy off of each other, it was. ;)
The Bonnie and Clyde one was great, too. The imagery was vivid, crisp in my mind. So much grief, with a dash of romantic chivalry thrown in. It reminded me of that old belief that one follows true love to the end, even if that end means death. "She would be for no one else." True devotion, proven in blood and one small bit of metal and gunpowder. Can you tell I'm happy yet? Can you? :)
As a final note, haha. We'll have you catching the Reffie bug sooner or later. Or not. o.o Either way, your drabbles were very well written, and I can't thank you enough for making my day. ^_^
*Glomp* Love!
