4. Make sure Mr. Frodo eats well and then refill the water skins. Etc.

I dunno, there's so much that could be done there, little bits of technology snuck in for amusement. XDDD

"No!" Sam screamed, but it was too late. Gimli spun around and clove the second spear in two, but the momentum of the Man's throw kept the sharp-tipped point speeding onwards. Frodo, now in its path, was struck in the back, which sent him sprawling on the sand at Boromir's feet where he lay, unmoving. With an evil grin, the rider nodded, satisfied. He pulled the oliphaunt back into the jungle, and was gone.

Oh are you serious! What kind of Final Destination move was that! POOR FRODO! Stupid Elephant Jockey! Why couldn't you have hit Gimli instead! It would have bounced off him! TT

"Perhaps we should give them some privacy, you miscreant," Boromir said. He bent and scooped Pippin up off the ground. "Let us see if knocking you against one of these trees will persuade some of the larger fruits to fall." He walked off, the young giggling hobbit dangling from his arm.

XDD I love Boromir so much. I hated that he died. HATED IT!

"Thank you for-" He suddenly put down his plate and looked closely at his right hand. "Whatever is this?"

Merry started to laugh. "Pippin discovered some colored markers in the cockpit, and, well, we weren't watching him for five minutes, and..."

Frodo held up his hand and stared at the back of it. On each finger Pippin had written a letter, spelling out F-R-O-D-O in five different colors. "Pip, did you think I'd forget who I was?" he grinned. "This will wash off, won't it?" His smile faded as Pippin tried to hide behind Legolas. "Won't it?"

Oh dear... RUN PIP! XDDDDDDDDD The image of Pippin with Permanent Markers is too cute. Perhaps he should color Gandalf's beard next. xDDDD

I love the little cute bits you sneak into even the most serious bits of the story. I believe if one can write a serious story, and yet still maintain a bit of humor in it, than it is truely a work of art. Even as grave as the first chapter was, I still laughed about Gimli's grumbling about Elves.

This story is good, I believe I started reading it before but lost track of it. I intend to read it all this time. Lol When I read about all this modern stuff, I was assaulted by two images. Pippin with an iPod and Legolas with a cellphone trying to get a signal; Bravely strowing up and down the beach and even climbing trees to try to get a bar. xDDDD

Ok one last time.

Its over? nooo! lovely story I was tuly surprised when I heard Frodo say Boromir. Now however, I see the complete logic, Frodo is definantly, at least on some levels, smarter than Gandalf. (atleast I hope) I loved the plan simple, yet ingenious, over all brilliant.

Now I must read more shirebound fic. Hopefully I'm not crowding your box with this sudden torrend of reviews.

*Gasp* Ooohhh O_O who will he give the ring to? (though I know you finished the story alreay ;D) Personally I beleive Sam is the best choice, dear, dear Sam. At first I didn't relize it was Legolas who gave the mithril to Frodo.. interesting, very, very interesting. Another wonderful chapter.

Since I just wrote a nice long review about all but the last chapter (sorry) I will write a 'The Island' related reveiw as I read. When I read about Frodo running to save Boromir I was thinking, No, Frodo, No! Then it hit him and he was on the ground I was like 'No please not Frodo, not Frodo, please no!' And then it had bounced off him 'Oh thank goodness! he was wearing mithril and clever with the skewered boar thing' then 'No heart beat? NO! not dear Frodo what will Sam think? the rest? what about the ring? NoT Frodo, please no! Gimli is giving up hope? NO! Frodo must live He must!' Very well witten chapter. You have out done my standards once again. Billiant, and I know you will continue to be brilliant.

Shirebound in the 5 days since I reveiwed your story Tiny Tales I have read all your pre-quest stories and all the Quarantined sequels. You are truly a gifted writer and I must apologize for not reveiewing more. Will you ever forgive me? I suppose that all the amazing chapters you have written finally caught up with me and I simply needed to reveiw.

You have given a new depth to the hobbits and Aragorn. The Hobbits have ALWAYS been my favorite and now I love them even more. You have made clear to me the level of love and devotion that Aragorn has. I had long since decided that the ideal peson would have Frodo's eyes and resiliance and will, (both those characteristics are clear when you tell them)Sam's determination, heart, and devotion, (Sam keeps almost being my very favoite but for some reason I push him down to a tie with Frodo, perhapse to honor Frodo's sacifice, but Sam is dear, dear Sam I just LOVE him!)Pippin's care-free, innocent spirit, and his love of keeping others smile there, don't for get his accent! ;) (I see now that Pippin wasn't just keeping up Frodo's and co's spirits unintentionally, but that was it's sole purpose. Pippin is just so SWEET!) and Merry's... (this is were you tuly contributed to my understanding of the hobbit's places.) I could never fing Merry's gift I knew it was there but I could never find it. I see it now. Merry is a stone; he stives fo equality, he sees when he needs to step up, where it's lacking and fills that. Merry helps keep Pippin's spirit going but but also keeps him frpom getting into too much trouble. Merry completes the circle... Sam protects Frodo, Pippin chears him up, and Merry fills up the rest no small task.

This story only adds to my praise of you. I absolutly love the twists in the plot keeping me on my toes (trust me, that is quite a feat) and I enjoy the Hobbity-ness of it. HOBBITS FOREVER! I saw about have of the first season of 'Lost' AGES ago and this story brought back a few memories. Please allow me to compliment and praise you again. PRAISES! I absolutly love your name the Shire appeals to me more than anywhere else. I LOVE your stories!

hey,I'm a total fan of your stories but "plane?" as in plane that fly across the sky? is this set in modern times? all your stories that I've read are wonderful but this...it borders on one of those fics that semi-good authors write, yea, so it's semi-good. Okay, i understand that this is based on "Lost" but it has a lot to be desired. i just have to say it's not what i would've expected from you. I really apologize if this sounds mean, it's not meant to be.

I love this. That was such a cool twist with Boromir and Frodo giving him the Ring and - Wow! This was so cool!

Brillant story, but I must tell you that since Frodo's mother was a Brandybuck like Merry, and his first 12 years were spent near the river in the shire, I suspect Frodo already knows who to scale and gut a fish.

That is the first crossover I have ever been tempted to read and I truly enjoyed it. I would have loved more Legolas angst, but that's just me. Lovely story, mellon nin.

I am a late comer to this as I didn't expect to like it. I do, very much. Wonderful original plot. Looking forward to reading the rest.
