This is really interesting! I wonder why Hermione used PM and KIA... Maybe PM is potions master? I can't think what KIA means though.

I'm curious to see what happens next! Hermione should forget about Ron and get with Draco, in my opinion. I wonder what the wise man meant about getting rid of the magic binding Hermione.

Update soon please! ;)

Oh Alex, darling!

It's been so long since I've had a spare minute to come on over and read the latest chapter. I have to say that I really liked it. Although, you tease, you've gone and made your Draco so yummy sounding that I'm rooting (fruitlessly,I know) for him to steal Hermione away from Ron and Snape.

Anyway, you know what I thought was interesting about your shawman visit? That the first thing on Hermione's mind was Draco...hum

So, it's good! WHY has it taken you so long to update? What's up? What's up with the Bermuda Triangle story? I'm waiting on that too.

How are you? I've missed you loads.

My life, crazy. Mark just got a new job - FINALLY - working at another record label. He starts Jan.

Noelle will be starting Pre-School too! GASP! My baby is growing up!

Anywho, miss you. Hope all is well. Pop in over the Christmas break and lets chat.

Kisses,

Lorett

Interesting story. I'm curious to see just what is going on with the Slytherins. It's obvious that something must be up, because it's very OOC for Harry to just fall in love so quickly, especially considering Ginny's death. And I get the sense that Draco is up to something too. One bit of concrit though, I think that the transition from chapters 3 to 4 was a bit abrupt. I almost felt like I missed a chapter when I read that Hermione was now blind when her sight seemed just fine before. But I do think the story is interesting, so I can't wait to see where you go with it!

I'm here, I'm here! And reviewing! That's the important part, of course. Two nice fat updates for me to chew on and discuss at length.

So many, many things happened in only two chapters! Whoof! Let's see, Harry and Millicent got together, Draco tried to get in Hermione's pants, Snape unveiled himself (that was unexpected), and Hermione went blind. Am I missing anything? Oh yes, Crabbe and Goyle seemed to have been killed. I'm not going to say that they DID die because you only implied it; I've learned from experience that implications are usually set to mislead. You twisted me around too many times in REE for me to trust you completely. Actually, I trust Draco even less. That bold, suave move on Hermione seemed too calculated to be real (who actually says that, especially so unexpectedly?), just like I'm predicting Crabbe and Goyle will show up again in the Dark Lord's service. If anything, Draco's sly hand on the back was an example of his ability to create a false sense of trust in his integrity; he's attempting to put everyone at ease, to secure his place in the Trio's inner circle. Is there a charm against Veritaserum, something like a bezoak that can protect him against its true effects? His words and oaths seemed empty to me.

And Millicent and Harry! I recognizeed that rape scene and the conversation that followed from "Stay, Hermione." You left it alone, like you noted at the top of this chapter. It's an interesting couple, both of which obviously believe in first sight. Their conversation on the couch was very practiced, a scene that oddly felt right in the chaos of the night before. It was just like Harry to overdramatize a little with a couple flowery compliments. I never got the impression that were not heartfelt, however.

I loved your thought of trust and even romance blooming from a moment of vulnerability. For most people, strength is the quality respected, though I personally believe that respect is rarely turned to love, only admiration. People forget that showing weakness takes courage, too. We are all so concerned about how others perceive us, how every tear is going to affect our status in society, with all its tiers, false facades, and splintered mirrors, that we rarely allow ourselves to be anything but controlled. Ironically, it's losing control that inspires the most emotion, whether it's a sense of fear, rage, loyalty, or affection. So though it's odd for Harry to put Ginny behind him so quickly and so completely, and odd for Millicent to relinquish enough of her stout poise to respond, I also felt a certain sense of truth to their story.

And Snape...now there's an enigma. I didn't expect you to announce his innocence and his role in the Trio's (the Quintet's, really) plan so early and so willingly, but I see now how it fits into your plan. The blindness has reduced Hermione to begging. Originally, I thought that it might be from a spell Draco put on her, but the wiseman listed that issue separately. (I'm assuming the wiseman DID actually know what he was talking about, and am treating his words like a prophesy of sorts, a gauge of prediction.) Not that it should COMPLETELY confine the possiblity; in fact, it would be like you to have had Draco cast the spell. I can't imagine that Snape would have put a binding spell on her - his anger at receiving an owl from Harry did not seem to make any connection to what may or may not have happened on the mountain top - and the only evidence that upholds it was his role of anonymous tipper to the Ministry. If he hoped to lure one or all of the Trio to the mountain (where the cup truly was hidden) and cast the spell on them, then he officially is a very crafty man. I have yet to see what the motive for this action would be.

I'll leave you with those thoughts for now. I'll go to mull over and chew up until the next update, which I hope will be soon.

Much love after long last,
Alison

Ooh, I know! PM = Potions Master, and KIA = Know It All!

I had to think hard for a few minutes, though.

Aw, I wish I could trust Draco, because you've written him so attractively! But I can't trust him any further than I could throw him, what with you tossing around warnings to "read suspiciously" and all!

You killed Crookshanks! You Bastard!

I'm getting to use that line just about every single damn chapter of this story, you bloodthirsty, killhappy thing! What's got into you?

Interesting advice from Paki...

A lot of people are bitching about the Harry / Millicent thing moving too fast. They must have missed the A/N where you said that people who are acting weird have their reasons. Harry falling for someone new that quickly is definitely weird, so I trust you're going somewhere with it. People that skip A/N's bug me. I mean it's one thing when authors break the rules and make whole chapters that are just A/N's, and whine about a bunch of personal stuff- big no-no... but when there's a short one at the top of a chapter, freaking *read* it for crying out loud! It might contain pertinent information, such as "read suspiciously" and "there are reasons why people are acting weird".

Hermione falling asleep with the book in her arms like a security blanket or something was just so sad!

Well, that's about all I can come up with at the moment. Ciao!
