Our Highlands warrior volunteering in the Great War as a non-combatant is an important piece of evidence of the changes he went through over the years. His reaction to this historical moment of truce in the midst of a brutal and dehumanizing conflict seems very appropriate.

I like stories where our heroes actually participate in history. After all, they lived through it. I can so see Mac being there for this, and I liked him writing to Darius at the end. Nice job.
