KissesInTheRain 2005-02-11 . chapter 7i really can't think of anything to say, but i think you're story is amazing, and that you are a very talented writer. it was just so full of emotion, and some parts just made me want to cry (in a good way). so ya. was that the real real end? cos if so, i think you should write another story, because you are just so good at it. loadsa luv, frankie. |
Larner 2005-01-11 . chapter 7Ah--at last, some hope for Treebeard and Quickbeam, and for Peregrin and Diamond. Lovely tale. |
Larner 2005-01-11 . chapter 2Yes, I love it. Merry has the handkerchief, while Pippin is took from soup to nuts. |
Larner 2005-01-11 . chapter 1A lovely beginning. Am going to catch up over days, I fear. But I do love your work. |
Peachy Papayas 2005-01-10 . chapter 7Wow. This is such a fantastic story - and it's written so beautifully. I'm kind of sad that Diamond and Pippin live apart, but it's a change from the happily-ever-after sort of story - I suppose they still are happy, just in a different sense. Anyway, I loved the the story! |
BedTimeMonster 2005-01-10 . chapter 7This story was spectacular. It helped me better understand Diamond, a charcter whom I've never liked, and I appriciate her more now than I ever have. You've made her so faceted; she's physically afraid of Pippin's size, something which I never considered; she *wants* ice to flow through her veins as a way to keep her strong...there's just so much to her, and I adore that. Merry, also, being so pragmatic. I almost wanted to dislike him (unheard of, for me) simply because he was so aware of how to play people to get what he needs/ wants that I feared he'd start depending on this. But then, he would laugh, and it would by alright.
I love not knowing if Diamond goes back to Long Cleeve or not. Perhaps, in the forest, everything turns out ok.
Thanks for this great read!

Juweline 2005-01-10 . chapter 5I have to admit, this is one of the best Pippin/Diamond storie I've read so far (and there aren't many good ones, sadly). Your Diamond is awesome und you write her character so beautifully. I also adore your Merry... he's quite like how I imagined him from the books.
Looking forward to the last chapters :)
Hope we'll see more of your writing in the future! |
elevensies 2005-01-10 . chapter 4 I just discovered this story and I love it. The inter-relationships are so true-to-life, right down to the interfering family and outsiders. I couldn't wait to find out if the characters were reunited, so I had to hop over to the "Falcon" series. Looking forward to the next chapter. |
slef 2005-01-09 . chapter 4You changed your name! :-) But not your amazing writing, for which I'm always grateful! Great story, I must confess I've read it all at Stories of Arda already :-) |
Adnama 2005-01-09 . chapter 4I swore like a sailor when I realised that this was the last chapter posted. I simply cannot wait for you to post the next chapter!
I love the character and personality of Diamond. She is much different than other author's depict her. I like this version of her better. I'd never thought of her take on his 'foolishness'. Although, it seems kind of obvious now that she would think he's an idiot.
Anyways, lovely story. Update soon! |
Uncertain Hope (attacked by ther lazies and refuses to log in) 2005-01-09 . chapter 5 Wow, beautiful story, pippin's so sweet and. . .cuddely. . .I hope he comes back soon, and not too badly scarred. . . |
Peachy Papayas 2005-01-08 . chapter 4Oh, it's so unfair that this only have three reviews. It's got a nice relationship, and it's beautifully written! I really like it - one of my new favorites!
I can't wait for the next chapter ~ Peaches |
