Christy Corr 2005-01-04 . chapter 1A/N-ed again! *feels so speshul*
Why would Harry bother wearing a sheet if he's alone? Odd.
"The view was amazing. He didn't care." -- I don't know why, I fell in love with this paragraph from the very first time I saw it. Hmm.
"Sick, gargling Germans"? How DARE you insult the French language? German is... is... a rough, unrefined, coarse language! Br. Some French accents are annoying, yes, but never *that* hateful.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Traumatised war hero. But STILL.
"Cool, dark and misty." Yey! Hogwarts is no longer green. Very good. Hogwarts couldn't be green. Not even the grounds =p
Why would Harry have such a small flat? One would think the Malfoy fortune could afford a huge, *empty* apartment. Walls echoing his desperate screams and all.
Ugh, yes, everything in France is apparently very expensive. I read somewhere that it was cheaper to get some drinks than to buy soda or juice or whatever. Which reminds me to continue celebrating -- legal age for drinking there is sixteen! God bless the French.
"Even though he never felt a part of it." - Yes, I'd imagine that's how Harry feels. At least after Ron died, and after leaving Hermione behind... Poor Harry. Ah, well, being the Man Who Lived (I wonder if anyone will call him that in the seventh book... If he survives, that is) has a price, everything does.
Why is Hermione so mad at him? Just because he left her? Aw. So cold. Again, poor Harry.
I love the contrast between Harry's emotions and his reactions! "He grinned instead of screaming." Bloody brilliant.
You do know that the Champs-Elysées are not in Montmartre, right? I mean, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're not.
"Hermy." Heh. I still wonder what happened in that summer with Krum... Hermione surely was different in OotP... Er. Anyway. Back to the story.
Strange, that "Hermione, please." I would have thought that she'd be a little more controlling.
"He turned and walked away, waving goodbye over his shoulder, whistling as he walked away."
We GET IT, Ash. He walked away. You don't need to say it twice. =p
"Por favor"? Oh, jeez. I swear I was tempted to write a review in Portuguese after that, heh.
So. I loved this, of course. Shouldn't there be a reference to U2's "A man and a woman" somewhere? Hm. Well, great job! I hope you continue this! And *soon*, eh?
Just for the record (not quoted with precision):
"How to translate 'I love and I hurt' to French? J'aime... et je... blesse?"
"No, not 'blesse'. But why do you want a title in French?"
"I can't think of a nice English title, and having a French title sounds so..." [pause] "Please shoot me."
"...Yeah." |
