This story might be sentimental, but this is what makes it so moving. And when else to pour out one's heart if you cannot do it in the company of dead people?
I must admit though, Kenshin's last prank totally blindsided me o_O

I was already starting to think that we are only going to see Kenshin in flashbacks, and what a tragic story it would have made.

I just read all fourteen chapters and cried through most of them. You write in a way that makes people feel, and that is a rare gift indeed - for I seldom cry. Thank you for a touching story. Hope you continue it.

I read your story quite a while ago and rather liked the father-son relationship you established between Hiko and Kenshin. I was, however, rather curious about two things:

1)Exactly how Kenshin intended to atone through Hiko, considering he's sworn not to kill(and by extension, cause any more deaths) while Hiko has no such inhibitions.

2)What romantic pairing will this fic have? Kaoru's only a child here, so will it remain Kenshin/Tomoe(Yeah, she has Kiyosato, but if you have eternity to spend in heaven and had multiple lovers in your lifetime, can't you share?)

Considering the story won't address these for a while, would you tell me a bit about them?

You got me! Cold. I didn't even suspect that this chapter was an April Fool's Day joke until almost the end. I guess that says a lot about my gullibility. Anyway, that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the chapter. Especially since the reference to yaoi was only a joke. I think that Kenshin deserved the opportunity to get back at both his Shishou and Saito.
