I totally agree with your theory about Shinta and Battousai being two different people, Kenshin changes way too much when he reverts to Battousai to be one person. great story!

I liked it, a lot, really.

Not the coporal thing, I guess, but the way that the 'insanity' Kenshin suffered during the fights could be translate it as a inner fight between two personalities.

Could be better, longer but I adored the fact that it is short (you could have lost the track or the plot).

And the sentence saying mirrors only reflects the reality... genious.

I'm so glad you wrote this! There are hardly ANY Battousai/Kenshin fics on this site, and it's one of my favorite pairings. PLEASE write a sequel! You said Battousai can become corporeal, so what will happen when Kenshin is threatened by Saitou and Okita and the Shinsengumi? And I'm assuming either this is before Tomoe, or an timeline-what-timeline, 'cause Battousai probably wouldn't stand for someone trying to take what's 'his' - ooh, there's a plot bunny. Hope you write more! Also, on a purely technical note - I really liked the bolded lines in the beginning, and the description of the dead bodies, really gives us an insight into Kenshin's head.

Konnichiwa! I'm a reviewer for your brother, D86. When I read his bio I figured, 'Maybe his sister writes pretty good fics' and so, here I am reviewing one of em. Gotta admit, it was pretty good. Never actually thought of Kenshin as having two personalities like in Yugioh. But it's original. And to be honost, it didn't seem much like a one-shot if that's what you were aiming for. So maybe you will, or maybe you won't continue it. Either way...
