Well, actually Hephaestion was already dead when Alexander arrived. The symptoms described in the records point to Typhoid, because there was a swelling of the entrails and a high fever and hallucinations. Hephaestion was given solid food too soon, by the doctor whom Alexander had executed in a fit of madness.

Of course it's a less romantic ending, but true none the less. I just thought you'd find that interesting. (The Nature of Alexander by Mary Renault is an awesome biography of his. As good as any of her novels.)

Oh yes, please add more. I'm a sucker for reecarnation (sp?) stories, and this one looks like a very good one. I always wanted the to meet again, either in another life or the great beyond. They just weren't done with eachother yet.

I LOVED the past two chapters, by the way, you have quite a way with words. Thank you for sharing.

oh dear g-d...you really didn't just leave that like that? the details, oh I love the details that are just placed so perfectly in here. I like how they're thoughts on dieing intertwine all just leading back to them always there, waiting, and the last couple of paragraphs in the second chapter, wow. Just wow. I hope you update this soon

Hey! I wanted to say that your story is really interesting; I usually don’t read many fics, but I have to say that this one is pretty good! Congratulations! You’re talented!
And because it’s in my nature to ask annoying and useless questions, :) , I can’t help but wonder...
I for one think that Hephaisiton’s death was TOTALLY UNFAIR (but who am I to change history?) in the movie. I noticed that your story is from Hephaistion’s pov, yet he dies in the first chapter (QUOTE: ‘Hephaestion gasped softly as a small tear trekked down his roughly bristled cheek, AND ON HIS LAST BREATH, believing, trusting, and loving Alexander still to THE VERY END whispered thus, “Of course, of course, my…Alexander…my…Achilles” ‘)
Bottom line: from whose pov is the next chapter gonna be?
I know I have absolutely no right to tell you how to continue your story, but do you think there is any chance Hephaistion will survive? Pls pls! (I’m so stupid! The name of your story is “Accepting”...)
