IchikoKitsuneKoumori 2009-11-22 . chapter 26She knows it now Naruto. |
 Rielle.o7 2009-11-05 . chapter 26This is a great story!
I really hope you continue this! |
alfred7188 2009-09-17 . chapter 26so its been well over a year since the last update... do you have any plans to do so again soon, or should we just count this story as abandoned? its a good story btw... |
dragon695 2009-08-02 . chapter 10You have a rather serious mistake in this chapter. In an earlier encounter, Naruto followed Sasuke home in an attempt to hide from Ebisu. While it is understandable that he might not know how to find the place again, it seems bizarre that he would be shocked this time around at how the place looked. Even if only a glance while following Sasuke the first time around, surely he would have been able to asses it then? I would suggest rewriting that part so that Naruto reflects on what his impressions were then. |
wolf's lament 2009-08-02 . chapter 26Oh no, please don't say you're going to leave the story here! Team Seven's split up and I really want to know what's going to happen with Sasuke and if Naruto's going to ask him about the Kyuubi and if Sakura's going to be forgiven by Naruto...
This is such an amazing story! I'm not usually a fan of stories that change Sasuke's character decisions (mainly his desire for revenge), but you've done such a wonderful job of capturing the characters that I can't help but love it. Also your justification for the plot changes seem very well planned out such that part of me is still wondering whether Sasuke will choose to leave the village. A critisism of the Naruto story is that we really don't see a lot of the bonding that leads Naruto to want to risk everything to get Sasuke back other than his promise, but in this story you can actually understand the protectiveness that Team Seven has developed.
Your focus may be on Sasuke and Naruto, but your development of Sakura is also wonderfully done turning her into a strong character without it being unrealistic. I really hope that you will be able to pick up the story again some time and I will eagerly read the next chapter if you do. |
The Quiller 2009-06-11 . chapter 26Very in character, very believable, very well-done. Keep up the great work, because I'm dying to read more.
Tenten got over her grudge with Temari a bit fast for my tastes, but given the amount of time you had to work with, I guess it's understandable. Nice to see Sakura finally standing up for herself and learning how to kick ass in her own style.
Great job with remembering each character's insecurities and flaws; they're very realistic, and I can still see that while they're maturing and that they're ninja, they're also thirteen-year-old kids that have a lot to learn. Your characters flow naturally and stay true to who they are - I don't see the twisting of their personalities to fit the plot that so many other Naruto-authors have given in to. I especially like your Sasuke (and not just because he's my favorite character) because it does give us a realistic insight into who he could have been 'without the plot screwing him over' every time he makes a step forward.
All in all, great story, would love to see an update soon!

crimsonstain 2009-04-11 . chapter 26Okay, first things first, THIS STORY IF FREAKING AMAZING! A really interesting twist, with garbage-truck loads of characterization, and character development. Great job, keep up the good work, and update soon! |
juniper 2009-04-05 . chapter 26 This is BRILLIANT. Truly. I really hope that you haven't abandoned this story and that you'll update it soon because this is really fantastic. And I really, really hope that the aftermath of Sasuke's waking up and Naruto's finding out about Kabuto works out in some way, and that Naruto finally gets to have the Kyuubi conversation with Sasuke and they both figure out that they still trust and respect each other. Because if they've come so far only to be set back... well, I would be very sad. That all being said, this is a fabulous and extremely well-written story and I can't wait to read more of it. Thank you so much for writing it and I hope you continue writing soon. |
Nebula1701 2009-02-19 . chapter 26Awesome story man! Hope you find the push(or some other word I can't think of atm) to start writing this again!
Wow I guess Naruto is going to be in a rut for a while heh... *I wonder if he's going to end up acting like the Old Sasuke for a while* |
 Sailor Epyon 2009-02-10 . chapter 26Poor Sakura. She can't win for losing as they say, right? ^^;;
It seems like Team 7 is in quite a crisis. I wonder how they will all handle the current situation they are in. I really like the direction you're taking this into. It's been so long since I've seen Part I. Reading this makes me wanna go back and watch it.
I enjoy reading this, though I'm always extremely late with reviewing. Thank you for always keeping me on my toes. ^^ |
movintarget 2009-01-14 . chapter 26excellent for one minor change, bit much in the way of cannon hoping it will divert from it some more soon. |
Rosa Lui 2009-01-11 . chapter 26Wow. Um... amazing. I love it. Really, really love it. I see you haven't updates in a year (did you say something about being a student? I'm in my first year of University, I can totally sympathize...), but I hold out tremendous hope that you will update this someday. If there's anything at all I can do to encourage you to write more (I doubt I'm a better writer than you are, but I could help you... check for typos? *facedesk*), please let me know!
This is a wonderful story. I know there's still a chance for Sasuke to go to Sound, but... gah, I hope he won't, especially with the way the jerk has been acting in the manga recently. Fans (REAL fans) didn't fall in love with Sasuke's looks; they fell for the boy who, even if it was subconscious, was willing to die and give up his dreams of revenge for his friends, both in the fight with Haku and with Gaara. I'm sure everyone will forgive him again if he "sees the light" in the end, because Naruto fans are remarkably like the people of Konoha; we see Sasuke as our little hero who can do no wrong. Still, it's great to see a piece of fiction like this, which offers redemption in a roundabout sort of way.
Sasuke is fairly in-character. A good AU doesn't change people's characters, and it doesn't keep them exactly the same; it adjusts them according to how their actions and behaviors would change with new circumstances. They're still the exact same person who who do the exact same (canon) things if in the original situation, and I thing you've handled that very well. :)
Any way you could reply, lol, or give your readers some hope you're still thinking about this story? |
kasmo 2009-01-04 . chapter 1Interesting. I like butterfly effect fics but it's just so hard to imagine it. All the little ripples and everything and following the manga's script but not completely...it takes so much time!
But I agree that the plot does seem to like screwing Sasuke over a lot just when he seems to be recovering. But trauma recovery like that does take time, especially big shocks like that from a young age.
And it's really debatable whether he ever even talked about it with anyone. From what it looked like, he just buried it in the back of his mind and focused completely on training. So not a good coping mechanism. Of course when the memories came popping up again it would have a landslide deteriorating effect on his psyche. |
kasmo 2009-01-04 . chapter 7You know, I never really thought about it before, and I have no idea if it was ever mentioned in the manga or not, but it makes sense that the Uchiha clan massacre is also considered classified information just like the Kyuubi. After all, hardly anyone in Sasuke's generation seems to know about Uchiha Itachi. I guess it makes sense then why Sakura didn't know Sasuke was an orphan too. |
kasmo 2009-01-04 . chapter 14I'm glad Kakashi isn't going to neglect Sakura and Naruto anymore and that Sakura isn't as immature as she was before in the manga. And the fact that she's accepting Naruto more now and fawning over Sasuke less is a definite plus. Less strain on their team relations. |
