I said I was going to start reading your past stories, so here I am. Great story! I loved it. You expressed Link's mental angst about himself so well. You really are a great writer. ^_^

So the poe was defeated in the dream world then? He didn't seek a rival in the physical world? I thought that was the original plan, but maybe it ended up being better.

I feel so sad for what Link has gone through, but so proud that he finally didn't leave them behind. Where is this turmoil coming from? Is it just built up tension over time or some other kind of evil? I think I'll find out later. :)

Haha, Link is so funny. First he's in despair because he's a "nobody" but when people recognize him as a somebody he vanishes. Well I hope that will at least spurt some truth in his direction.

That ending was so cool, and the ability to use the mystery light balls was encouraging. :) So he wasn't completely vulnerable. And this is the part where they leave the dream world! *cheers*

When Impa took Link to her home I was very glad. Last chapter I kept thinking "What will those people think when they see the hero's body come in on a stretcher?"

Poor Navi, she really cares so much for him. And the kids, with their 10 questions... lol You portray them just like kids! :D (I know...brilliant comment!)

I love action! I was gripping the edge of my desk and clenching it tight everytime the monster flung Link. A losing battle, but not without a reason. Hang in there Link.

I haven't finished reading this story yet, obviously, but I just HAD to leave you a review-I couldn't wait! XD

Anyway, to cut to the chase, I must say that I am completely impressed with this overall piece so far. I really like how it has shown a flip side to what Link might have possibly experienced during his journey of becoming a hero and even in his life in general. Link is a very difficult character to write about since so many people have different ideas about what he is like as a person due to the "limited" personality that he has in the games. Based on evidence in OoT/MM I'd say that he is overall a kind, courageous and noble boy who can be a bit of a loner at times. He seems to have trouble expressing his deeper emotions, yet he gladly accepts friends. Although friendship does seem to be important to him I don't really think he has a good understanding as to what romantic love is due to the way he reacts to the advancements of Ruto and some of the other characters in OoT/MM.

What I am even more impressed with is how you've written Link's character into this fanfic-not many people can pull off this kind of angst with a character like him and do it believably. You seem to have portrayed him as an utterly messed up, emotionally hurt individual and the way you've done it is extremely impressive because you've gradually explained these changes in his character in ways that most writers don't really even think about. You have truly made me believe that he has went from this noble, brave person that would risk his life for the people of Hyrule out of love and has completely turned around and changed into this dark, emotionally torn individual who simply needs someone to care about him as a person, not as a hero. He truly feels like a broken version of the canon character from the game and personally, I love that. ;)

So overall, this is a wonderful piece that is making me cheer Link on in hopes that he will overcome his problems. ;) This is going on my faves.
