Sorry, it's taken me so long to comment on this. I kinda missed the first bits on LJ, but then zanthinegirl kindly pointed out the story was also available here.

So many bits hit a note as I went through but now I only remember the Casablanca reference (always cool), the bit about White Christmas and hard liquor, well... the whole prologue and the idea of Giles deliberately playing with the Scoobies' heads. "Icing on the cake" indeed.

some minor grammatical adjustments..and your 'filler' is a little flimsy - nevertheless, well done

disappointing. you need a beta with a sharp eye - you deserve one.
