I just finished this entire story and I was bored by the time I finished, You really should consider a beta reader it would of been less snooze worthy if you had done that.

Well, I'm leaving a review at last. It took a little(actually way)longer than usual.

Great chapter. It was really a good change from the court stuff that we had been reading for a while- not that they were not amazing, but this chapter is a gate to a more action/adventure/mystery/romantic future(there would be an empty hotel room somewhere, right?!)...Yayness!:D

Breath-taking description of booby traps. I am tempted to use 'epic trap-goodness!', but then you would be chasing me with a slipper...or your gigantic wing-washing bowl... or anything else equally hard!>>

As for the ending: Argh-...err...yay! OK, it's almost obvious that he's going to ruin some of their plans. Hopefully there would be a nearby pit to throw him into?! *is clearly an anti-Kurtis in this fic* I like to see Karel's reaction to the news. And Lara better not go to Kurtis' side or someone will get hurt! (good for me, you are mostly toward the villain side, so the chance of 'Lara suddenly getting a halo and saving the world' is so low):p

No... Rival Oblivion fics are not good! They add a six month plus delay to RiS update times! :"(

I can finally understand why Lara was feeling so off in Paris. Great chapter as always. I could feel what she must be going through at each challenge. The ending was a lovely touch, too. ^_^ I wonder whether Kurtis will use Lara to lure Karel into a trap? Hope there will be more Karel-Lara moments. :)

Loved the way you described all the traps and obsticles Lara had to deal with in this chapter...
and the decrptions of Damascus itself and the tomb are amazing...
It's great to see Lara back to her old Tomb Raiding ways...the feelings isolation I suppose...like classic TR...the feeling of Lara being anlone and facing danger...THAT IS BRILLIANT!

Wow. I just finished reading this and it's by far one of the most impressive and well-written TR fanfics I've read.

I love how you make Lara giving in to the "dark side" instead of writing one of those typical AoD continuations where she inevitably happens to fall in love with Kurtis (don't get me wrong, I like Kurtis, but it's all been done by now and you read it everywhere, nothing new there) and saves the world once more. And I truly admire you for putting so much effort into the story since you did lots of research.

I guess a certain someone (cough Kurtis cough) won't be too pleased and make a comeback since the police are now focusing on him instead of Lara. And those small moments between Lara and Karel are beautifully written. Can't wait to read the next chapter!

Hi. Don't take this the wrong way, it's not a flame. I just finished the story and well, It's not very original and it's an OK story and certainly not bad. I was never a fan of the Kurtis Trent character and was happy that they never brought him back, there are quite a few errors in grammar and spelling that could be fixed easily with a Beta Reader. Keep updating and don't stop writing, as you write more you will get better at it.

A wonderful chapter. :) I really enjoyed it. The setting is perfect and symbolic. I loved the way you used Karel's wing to provide a shelter for Lara. Their interaction made a great read, very sensual and realistic. ^_^ It felt such a treat to see anther update so soon.

Funny, I wanted to mention something about the oxen too, but you beat me to it. Anyway…

And what do we have here? An ‘actual’ romantic moment. Well done Jordy. Good thing you didn’t interrupt this one, because even the Master would have been angry with you for not letting him do his work! As strangely as it might sound, I’m happy that it didn’t carry on farther in this chapter. I just can’t picture Karel go ‘Yay! I didn’t give in last time, but now let’s run all the way kissing to my home and jump to bed!!’

‘Those who chose to play with the fire that burned in the darkness.’ Nice sentence for ending this chapter. I also like the way you mentioned Egypt and what happened to Lara before. A foreshadowing to what is going to happen this time to her- being left to die as a consequence of what she is doing now? (That would be very ironic and tragic.) I don’t mind if you bury Kurtis and Mirepoix, though! :P
