Lt. Colonel Hallie Carter 2009-04-22 . chapter 1absoluteley Awesome |
 ????? 2008-04-25 . chapter 1 That was really good. wish you'd write a sequel |
 Malicean 2007-06-21 . chapter 1What a sweet and light-handed story about such a dark and serious AU - I like it! |
Zeki Young 2006-12-23 . chapter 1That was really fab, I really enjoyed the whole 'conspiracy' thing, and of course the perfectly fluffy ending. Great job.

megmeyer 2006-10-30 . chapter 1I also cannot believe I have never reviewed this fic! I still remember the first time I read it. For such an AU (which at that time I did not appreciate yet!), it grabbed my attention, and had me in tears, and with a huge smile on my face, and frustrated, and angry, and every other emotion I can think of.
I also can't believe I had not added it to the Carterfic C2 before now. At least I remedied that!
Another GREAT fic - all your stories are awesome! |
Amilyn 2006-07-12 . chapter 1I can't believe I've not left a review for this yet, as many times as I've read it.
I adore this story. I love how you reveal the events as they unfolded one bit at a time. I love how Cassie and Jack and Jenny and everyone banded together to help Sam in ways she could accept until she was ready for more. I love the bit about Jack having warned Cassie about the gun in Sam's drawer. I love Cassie's, "It's time." I love Jenny getting Sam to go to dinner.
I ADORE the details of her wheelchair...gods, what a GREAT chair she has! I like that your depiction of the impact of her disabilities is unflinching, including not having a magic fix for the chronic pain, and including the issues of asking for help and attention to accessibility issues.
I found Jack's profession of love and devotion a bit sudden, and it still rings a bit off with me, but I LOVE their exchanges otherwise.
I love the description of how Daniel and Jack burn out, a bit at a time, to neither's surprise, Sam's lack of comprehension that she/THEY are Daniel's family, everyone relocating to be near one another because of it.
Also? BEST first line ever. So lovely. And her telling the story--even in hypothetical--was an EXCELLENT way of establishing where she is in her head. |
ProudAthena 2006-07-07 . chapter 1Awesomely good piece of writing. Great characterisation and written with a real sensitivity to their foibles and fragilities. A tough subject matter and a joy to read. |
BallsBreaker 2006-07-01 . chapter 1You actually think Shanahan is a good guy?
Well, if you ignore he has MAJOR control and possessivness issues, is a stalker (remember John Lennon and what his stalker did), has trust issues, abuses his power as a police officer, has authority and secrecy issues, doesn't take 'no' for an answer, believes he is entitled to know top classified national secrets, wanted to control Sam, her life and make her decisions instead of her,...
He is a perfect match of a psychological profile of an abuser and/or rapist. |
Pand 2006-06-30 . chapter 1That was... Wow! I really enjoyed reading this fic! Great job! |
7 League Boots 2006-06-21 . chapter 1Incredible story. Characterization, dialogue, pacing and plot- as finely done as a screenplay. Loved the progression of emotion, psychological highs and lows and the hint of humor in such a traumatic scenario. Admit I just didn't know what to expect, but it all worked, and a happy ending to boot! Fine and sweet; worth the reading.
Oh, well, I'm in summer-reading mode so I'm hitting SG1 archives. Something of the original series survives in this story, it's a classic! |
Chase998 2006-06-19 . chapter 1Quite the read! It's rare to find stories that really grasp the risks the military takes, and virtually none deal with the aftermath of that trauma. I'm not a shipper, but this pill was easy to swallow for Jack and Sam at the end, because it was gently written and wasn't slammed down on the writer's head like a barrel of building bricks. Very well done, so well I read it twice! |
jannymac 2006-06-09 . chapter 1just happened upon this story, and felt compelled to 'put pen to paper'. This is such a beautiful, moving, but definitely not slushy story. Absolutely in character, and a really brilliant ending. Thank you. |
ChristinaS 2006-04-03 . chapter 1I just found this story- What an incredibly warm, touching piece! You made me cry!
Now I'm off to read your other suff! Thanks so much for an extremely well written fic! |
