| Little Vili 2005-01-27 ch 1, | abuseThat was a very deep and a some what emotional story. I liked it, but I also didnt really catch the theme. Then again, inspiration doesnt have to have a reason. I liked it. It was well written, and thought out. And above all, it was unique, and not another repeat of all those other stories. IMO, unique stories are the best. | Blob 2005-01-26 ch 1, anon. | abuseI'm doing an unsigned one first, 'coz I can't really review this right now. I'll re-read and review later. A block of apartments has been built over where the primary school I went to used to be. The Grade 12/Grade 13 building at my high school was demolished after the school decided not to repair the hurricane damage after Gilbert. The great and glorious Canada Hall still stands at the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies, but despite what the current residents claim, it is not the Hermitage any more. C-Hall is now just another dormitory, whereas when I was there it housed a fraternity. Not a formal fraternity with Greek symbols and all that, but a brotherhood, a unified force who abstained (not too successfully) from wine, women and song for the glorification of matter (i.e. coursework and studies). Our mission was to survive the St. Augustine Campus and the Faculty of Engineering and come out with a degree at the end of it, and to ensure our brothers did the same. It's every man for himself down there now, to the point where theft, completely verboten when I was there, has apparently become rampant. It is for all those reasons that this story depresses me. It depresses me too much for me to write an objective review of this right now. RESPEX UNTO ALL HERMITS EVERYWHERE! AND ALL DEEPDENE-ERS TOO! |

Times have changed, evil has been vanquished, but what about the emptiness of the soul? Things that cannot be changed as simply? Perhaps,we'll never know. In other words, I loved it! ^_^ |
