Somewhere along the way in the past year or so, I remember reading this quickly. Now I come across it again and gave it the time it deserved and am so glad that I did.

What a beautiful piece! Alive and so full of the heartbreak and sweetness that makes Fruits Basket such great entertainment. It's beautifully written, totally believable, perfectly IC, and fits into the world in a way that feels so right.

I love your Hatori and Shigure, and the line where Tohru says they don't talk much about their parents...it opens you up to this world and you ran with it in the best of ways. Bravo!

Wow. Just... wow... That fic left me speechless. The way you portray thought and emotion is stunningly beautiful- The use of such simple gestures to portray such a powerful underlying message... Wow... I'm honestly at a lack of words here... I swear that last line made my heart skip a beat... ^^; Seriously though, this is undoubtably the best fanfic I've read in quite some time, and I'm definently going to check out your other works.

Very very interesting. Well written, certainly. But... refreshingly plausible and in-character as well. A wonderful one-shot in a fandom whose fanfiction tends to be almost unbelievably bad given the quality of the series itself.
