| Milliardo Merques 2005-07-28 ch 6, | abuse"He floated out, having pushed off a heavy case stacked with boxes of paperwork" Uh, zero G. Meaning that the boxes wouldn't have weighed anything. Very Rainbow Six-esc chapter. |
| Milliardo Merques 2005-07-28 ch 5, | abuse"Five days ago the government-in-exile of the pirate nation Republic of Mordor IV fled to the system." Mordor, eh? This is starting to sound sort of like the three-sunned planet that NASA deemed Tatooine... Even though that has two suns. Anyway, pretty good, though the sub machiner was a little odd in my opinion. Wouldn't it have not worked in a vacume? To clarify that- your character was supposedly not sure whether or not there was oxygen in the station, hence the suit (At least that was the conclusion I came to). He really wouldn't have encumbered himself with an atmospheric gun, then, would he? Just saying, and it's no big deal at all, there. |
| Milliardo Merques 2005-07-18 ch 3, | abuseGood style and story. Rather bitter, by all appearances. I have yet to finish it, but I'll try to finish with the rest soon. Oh, and just wondering, is there a reason that the guy in the first chapter never gave us a name? |
| Luke Rounda 2005-02-01 ch 1, | abuseI'm flattered that I'M being fanfic'd, especially since Asteroids is such an ancient piece of mine (written in the 7th grade, I'm a college freshman as we speak). What you have assembled here is surprisingly excellent, especially measured up against 99% of what can be found on this site. You nailed the space noir style on the head; it seemed cheesy at times, but that's part of the fun. Max Payne in space. Hell yeah, man. In fact, I have had the beginnings of a sequel to "Festival in the Rocks" sitting on my hard drive for awhile, and I've finally been coming back into my own as a writer lately, and "The Frontier" reflects a lot of the stylistic choices I'm going for in an attempt to pay homage to all of my favorite video games of days past. I'm happy to see that someone else recognizes the potential Asteroids has to be so much more than an instruction manual haiku. If you choose to continue with this, I will surely read it. |
