The Iman Lestrange 2007-06-22 . chapter 1Well, this was obviously done before the release of the Black Family Tree, so the only qualm I have about this story is that Orion Black was Bella's uncle - Sirius and Regulus's father - instead of her father. The Black sisters' father was named Cygnus.
But, other than that, it was really nice. I'm not too sure that Bella and Roddy would be keen on have seven children, but I like it all the same. And the "heir, spare, and daugther" is exactly the right touch when talking about aristocratic society. It makes more sense than the standard single heir, especially if they want to keep the pureblood lines from getting inbreed on the level of the Gaunts.
All in all, excellent bit of DE fluff, as ironic as that term is. |
DeepDownSlytherin 2006-04-27 . chapter 1I love Death Eater fluff, and I love your little Lestranges. I'm not usually much for AU's either, but I do love the idea of them having children, and how you characterise them here.
Nicely slipped-in Andromeda cameo at the funeral too. |
Andrea Rimsky 2005-10-16 . chapter 1You do realize that this more or less like writing Hitler-Eva Braun fluff, or perhaps Goebbels fluff.
Good, I'm glad that you do. Now we can gloss over that.
You also don't particularly need the disclaimer about Voldemort reinstituting feudalism in the wizarding world. That is, the set-up that's apparent in the story itself isn't incongruous with what we already (don't) know about wizarding law.
Unless you're planning more chapters, in which case you also might explain the significance of the middle-aged women with black hair at Orion's funeral. |
