Oh. My. Nonexistent. Gods. This was SPECTACULAR! It 'felt' almost exactly like the canon - the way Eva would have gone had it had a happy ending. The characterization was exquisite - I adored the way Rei's love for Shinji helped him mature emotionally, and I adored the way Shinji's love for Rei helped her become more 'human.' Kaworu seemed a bit cold at first, but I haven't seen his episodes, either, and his slightly altered circumstances probably helped with that as well. Ritsuko was superb - I loved the way her conscience finally caught up with her. Gendo seemed as IC as I could tell - he scared me as much as in the series, anyway. Everyone else appeared 'on' to me - you did a spectacular job!

This fic left me breathless at times, screaming at the computer at times, and occaisionally trying to pet the screen soothingly at times. It was extremely charged, emotion-wise - I was on tenterhooks through most of it! The plot was superb - very thouroughly thought out and all the details taken care of exquisitely. The disposal of SEELE seemed a bit abrupt, but you were right in your author's note - that WOULD be a bit difficult to go into depth on. It WAS handled, anyway. In short - this was one of - if not THE - best Evangelion fic I've ever read.

Whew! I finally finished reading the whole thing. This was without a doubt the single best Eva fanfic I've ever read, and not just because of Rei and Shinji. This is the first fic I've seen that told Gendo, Yui, and the Angels to shove this "all will be one; the ultimate evolution of mankind" crap. I'm a firm believer of the power of the human spirit and individuality and you've portrayed it wonderfully. The only downside is that I finally started writing a fic with some very similar themes! guess I'll need to find another concept to work on now! Keep it up!

Very Good! Rei forever!

O_O WOW! That was one HECK of a roller-coaster ride, bud! To start with, my favorite line: "Mental note: must stop drinking while Rei is in the room." Terrific man, just great! Seriously though, this thing had me glued to the screen, from start to finish, and I loved NEARLY every minute of it. I only say nearly, because Rei's my favorite, and I don't like reading about her getting hurt in any way, BUT since it turned out just fine in the end, I didn't mind so much. I really liked your take on the ending, and how you worked things out. It beats the heck out of the majority of the fics out there, that just stick with how the crappy EOE movie ended. That's a movie that NEVER should've been made! They should've gone with YOUR ending. ) Anyway, I saw very few errors throughout the whole thing, and would really like to see something else from you this long and intense. I myself prefer LONG fics to short one, so get on another of this sort, okay. Keep up the GREAT work. C ya'!

OK, I downloaded this fic from your site so I might as well review. Very cute! Gotta love REI! Go Shinji x Rei fics. We need more of them here! Anyways, it was really sweet and the lime/lemon connotations weren't too bad. Overall a fic anyone can love!

The first Shinji/Rei I've really enjoyed. *claps* I usually don't manage to make it through fics where Asuka doesn't play a significant role, but here, with Kaoru taking up a rather large responsibility, everything worked out well, although it kind of hurt to read the Asuka angst bits. All the characters were taken into account, and I love Ritsuko's development throughout the story, although there _was_ room for a bit more Ritsuko/Maya ) ) I _like_ the Asuka/Touji pairing, believe it or not ;) and the ending was perfect. It's so nice not to have everyone dissolve into goo.
