Raito not knowing what a Dementor is. . . ? I mean, even if he's never read it, people talk about it and such. Shame on him for not knowing this little tidbit. This was the second most shocking thing in this chapter--right next to Rem ~apparently~ working with Raito even though Misa is dead. I have no idea what is going on.

I've been putting off reading this because I knew, once again, that I would regret it. You cut off chapters in terrible, terrible places.

This is brilliant. You are an admirable writer. I love 'Brightly Burning', but this fic is on another level. Each chapter had me eager to learn more about this strange, wonderful world you have created. I thought that the haunting intelligence behind Death Note was inimitable, but you've built on it so brilliantly that I cannot even recognize the original. I can't wait for your next chapter!

In a few hours I've been reading through this fic, and I must say that I really like it.

The fact that you combine romance with an actual plot is a big thumbs up in my opionion; you have the right balance between substance (action, intruige) and pleasant-to-read-parts (LxLight interaction).

I was surprised you let Misa die so early (and a bit disappointed as well, because I really liked how you described it) but I hope it won't be for nothing ;)

As for now, I'm very curious how this all will turn out: how will Light react to L? Who will unmask Kira and how? (And who IS Kira?) And, also not unimportantly, what will happen between L and Light from now on?

I hope I'll get answers to these questions soon - please update! ^.^

(Oh, and I lolled at the Harry Potter reference in this chapter. :p)

You've really gotten L's character. I read this and it really reads like L. I'm impressed, I know I definitely couldn't get into L's head like you seem to have. And this story is really interesting. I'm still wondering if Raito has a Death Note in this universe or not. His character is the same, so if he got it I know he'd be using it, but I'm wondering when he'd be writing in his Death Note and where he'd hide it. But he's smart enough to find a way probably. There's also the chance that in this universe he never even got it. Gah, I'm stuck and you haven't given me any good clues :< I'm leaning towards him having one, especially since he got Misa's Death Note and was there when she died. But honestly I don't know. Ahh this story is so interesting. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter ^-^
