wizards are so stupid why not use a broom to get to the hall if the stairs do not want to take you there. same said broom can alsop be use to sneak out of the school and into the girls dorm.

personally i have yet to figure out why everyone who knows snape is a spy for the order thinks it is such a big secret i mean dumbledore got up in open court and told everyone there snape was a spy for the light side, an even if you say it was not open court but a hearing there should have been enough people there to blab it the everyone would know anyway.

now as far as harry potter and tom riddle as lovers goes that is easy to get aroud as far as age goes just have dairy tom come to life he is 16 an harry is 12 at the time. personally i love seeing dumbledore get taken out using the laws such as treason. with dumbledore being head of the wizumgot and head of the order of the plucked chicken. anything dumbledore uses to help the order that is gained by his being part of the ministry in a time of war is treason. an as far as spelling and grammar go i do not care even if you gave me a lolly pop or a nice shiney nickel i would not care.

now you could flip the prophesy to be about harry and dumbledore. the main sticking point would be mark him as his equal and that can be gotten around by the blood wards dumbledore had to cut harry to get his blood to create them thereby marking him as his equal.

As usual, absolute brilliance! I particularly enjoyed the conversation between Barty and Mad-Eye. ^-^ I love the way you keep the characters IC, but with just enough difference to fit the tale.

Aah!! This is the third time I've written a review for this chapter..the other two didn't go through and I lost what I wrote. This just goes to show how much I love this story for me to try again! I re read starting from 'Serpentine' to this newest chapter. You're doing a wonderful job with this story. I shudder while reading Dumbledore..he's so manipulative, rotted and evil. I'm glad that with the help of the Dark Lord, Lucius has found out about Severus being "leashed" by Dumbledore. I like the fact that Lucius, Severus and Narcissa are a Triad and they just had a baby girl. Very clever way to get out from Dumbldore's grasp for awhile to await the birth. I snickered when Draco realized that he didn't like the intrigue and scheming and would leave it to his parents (all three of them!) I felt so bad for Remus when he was chasing Sirius and knew that Sirius was bent from the years of Azkaban was was going to be killed.. I was really impressed with Remus's thinking and planning (almost seemed like he was a Slytherin) on how to deal with Dumbledore. I was glad that he was working with Lucius and when he found out that Harry was missing, he threw his weight with Lucius. I liked your explanation of his joining with the wolf and how much better he felt and still had control. I don't usually relate to Ginny's character but was taken by the way you wrote her and am really curious how she is dealing with the effects from sharing the Diary with Tom. Boy, Hermione sounds messed up! I'm looking forward to seeing how she deals with the Tri-Wizard Tourniment. I saw your message at the end of the chapter and again say Thanks for not giving up on this story.

I love this story and hope you'll continue.

wow just got through reading this monster of a chapter and enjoyed every moment of it :). So now i'm gleefully awaiting the unfolding of the plot and hoping to see a more definite mention of Harry but am guessing it'll still be a while. Oh well ^^.

GReat chapter! Though a little deep. It got hard to keep track of everything. I can't believe Sirius got kissed! I can't remember if this was covered in earlier chapters, but how did they get to ginny in the CoS w/out a Parselmouth?

oh and hey can you believe I remembered the doodle Trelawny found being linked to the one-shot and didn't ask about it but actually remembered how good is that?

That was... Epic. There's no other word for it. Not just that it was long, but that it's very far thinking. You set in motion topics that will take a very long time for their effects to be felt- and that, I might add, is not something everyone can do. JKR herself isn't one of them. You however, not only sent them in motion, but keep track of them admirably. The whole situation is just...brilliant.

Dumbledore's characterisation is something I like very much. You play on his canonical shortcomings (which are legion) and magnify them, showing us- not an entirely new character, but a side of the same character barely touched on in canon. His benevolent demeanour is just a front for something far more sinister. His eccentricity becomes utter insanity and his good-natured 'guidance' becomes cold-hearted manipulation.
I also like that you played up the fact that Dumbledore is insiane more than he is evil. It's a nice change and it gives a feeling that once Dumbledore actually was how he is portrayed in canon, but as you said 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely'.

The slow realisation of the teachers that their hero is off his rocker, and not in a good way, was done very well, although it would be interesting to see the reactions of other minor characters- say Pince or Filch, or perhaps Flitwick. This, combined with Dumbledore's blindness at the brewing mutiny, makes for a wonderful sense of dramatic irony. We can see that everything's going to fall in on Dumbledore's head, but he can't. Excuse me while I laugh evilly- *Mwahahahahah!*

Again, it's obvious that we're on an epic stage due to the speed of the teacher's reactions. McGonnagle's is an excellent example. She idolises Dumbledore, so her emotions are not going to change overnight. It takes months for her suspicions to manifest, and even then only on the grounds of irrevocable truth.
I also hope you keep developing Trelawney, she's got a lot of potential, and I'm a fan of secretlytrueseer!Trelawney.

I'm looking forward to what you're planning with Remus, the idea of melding with the wolf is intruiging, and I'm eager to see what you'll do with it.

Having read Serpentine, it's hilarious to think that while the Wizarding world is slowly disintergrating around Dumbledore's ears, Harry potter is living quite happily (and mostly obliviously) in a quiet forest, as a snake!

I'm /really/ looking forward to year four- At last, the Dark lord returns.
