Miss Poisonous 2008-07-25 ch 5,	abuseThis fic has me so captured it's not even funny. I'm so scared! The emotion in every chapter is just beautiful, the way you've shown how Stella's absence in the lab is affecting everyone, and how much they all care for her. In a way I like that you're not showing much from her point of view because it makes the tension all the tighter. I really liked how you included the press getting hold of the story and the treatment of the case by the media, as that would b a very real, and painful, part of a case like this, but is rarely mentioned in other fics. I can't believe Mac got suspended! Evil Cohen! The way you've written his slow deterioration since Stella's disappearance is just fabulous; I can totally see him wandering around the lab, bags under his eyes more pronounced, not really seeing anyone except Stella in his mind. The way he could hear her voice and kept replaying their conversations felt so real...it was heartbreaking. And that last line, 'He can't hear her voice any more'...Oh god I just wanted to cry! I guess Elias wasn't the kid with her then, if she's still humming? Oh I hope she isn't dead so much!! This is absolutely beautifully written - you really have a way of ensnaring the reader and pulling all our emotional strings...I'm an absolute wreck after reading this, I swear! It's so powerful and captivating; I feel like I'm there with them, you've dragged me in so well. I am all churny with anxiety! Please please please continue this - I can see you haven't updated in a while, but I really hope you choose to write more as the care you've put into this work deserves completion. Plus, we readers will quite simply die if you do not let us know how it all turns out! Do this wonderful piece, the readers, and yourself justice (not to mention Stella!) Don't make me descend to the level of patheticness of actually writing fanfic for a fanfic! This story is really something to be proud of - pleeaase write more! I love it!

As everything is taken away from Mac, and the bitter line that he should go and see his family. Your descriptions are amazing, 'the stench of snowing debris' was so powerful. I can't even describe the end as Stella is dying, I hope not, I really hope not. But it was so well written as life reverses and comes full circle, and the last line of the chapter. My heart broke. Please update soon.
lily moonlight 2008-05-03 ch 2,	abuseI'm becoming increasingly devastated as I read. The time is becoming so important with the mentions of how many hours Stella has been missing. The scene from her point of view was horrifying, and desperately sad. As they reach each dead end, the wall, it hits hard. And then a glimpse of hope at the end. Fantastic detail of the case, and I lvoed how you've written Danny in particular. The interrogation was so tightly paced. I have to read on. Testament to your writing, I am in a hugely anxious state.

The first paragraph is so intense, I felt the cold asI was reading it, the blue, the ice, the snow. And then to Mac, and the slow dawning that something is very wrong. Dread was creeping up me, and the more I read, the worse it got. You have an amazing technique for building tension and fear.

You write Mac's desperation and frustration so well, I wanted to punch something and scream when Cohen sent him home. And then that last part, talking about a body, I was so worried it was Stella. Please please keep her alive!! And please update really really soon :)

I love this story, you have Mac down so well in his frustration and desperation to find Stella, which has now had catastrophic consequences for the other case - hopefully there'll be some evidence on the body to get that guy with. Stella, oh, you have to save Stella. Please? The descriptions were so beautiful, her life flowing backwards through all those vivid point memories, undoing life rather than taking it away. I especially loved the way you added pieces of other lives around the edges of Mac's, so poignant, especially "further away, in the darkness, the melody of an old Greek lullaby faintly fades". I really really hope you continue to update.
