*sniffling and wiping away tears* That is sooooooooo bittersweet. What a wonderful story! It's so nice to see 1) Lee could comfort Carrie, and Amanda understood, 2) Amanda could grieve for Joe and Lee understood, and 3) Lee could appreciate what a big part Joe played in Amanda's life, and realize that she still loved him but not be jealous. Terrific story, just one thing-you need a tissue warning! )

Ah, what a well written story. And just when I make Joe to be the villian in my next story. Oh, well, guess that's one of those rough spots Lee talked about, Huh?

Amanda is right, Joe will always be a part of her and she didn't want to burden Lee with her pain. I love seeeing Lee as the comforter, now that he's grown into the wonderful man we all knew he could become with Amanda's help.

I remember reading this story somewhere before and thought then as now that it is a beautiful story that shows great emotion. The characters are beautifully done and the story is sad but not also sweet and not sappy.
