The "ball" is part of the landing system designed to tell the pilot he's on the right vector to the deck. I don't believe it's used for launches. The little bit at the end with Lee admitting not being good with names was priceless; wouldn't be a good fault for a CAG though.
Anastashia 2007-11-15 ch 42,	abuseCould they do combat landings and then be imediately ready for relaunches? I've never quite figured out if they launch and recover in the same place but I think they do. If so I'm not sure it would be possible, not to mention the rearm/refuel issue.

As for the part in this section about Sharon the shooter thinking someone else must have helped with the sabatoge she did. I had never thought of that before. With now knowing about Tyrol and with some of the excellent shots they did of him eyeing the bomb in the Raptor when he found it early on your take on the issue makes great sense.

Mariel3 2006-11-19 ch 56,	abuseI'm trying to get caught up with all the chapters since I last reviewed. I am still blown away by some of your observations and the lovely way you have of wording them. Little asides, like this one are lovely: "Frakking Cylons. He was going into a group of frakking cylons Puddles wondered what the Commander had planned. He believed in Adama , but he decided to pray to the gods anyway. It never hurt to cover your all your bases." But the scene at the end, with the Sharons figuring out Adama was the best. Very nicely done.
