The glimpse into Wes and Nigel's school days is hilarious - almost as good as 'Uncontrolled Circumstances,' which I adored (as I believe I mentioned in my review). It would be interesting to find out whether Giles immediately recognized Wes when he turned up in Sunnydale, or if it took him a while to figure out the connection. (Young Wes never actually admitted his real identity to 'Ripper,' did he? Or did I miss something?) My favorite part of this story, of course, is that present day Wes is still alive! What's more, his resurrection seems quite believable. I'd love to learn a little more about how Giles and Ethan got to be on such comfortable terms with Wes, though. Very interesting twist, finding out that Wes and Giles were working together all along, plotting to take down the Circle. And Ethan's involvement - both in the boys' early exploits, and the destruction of the Circle – was a stroke of genius as well. He always was one of my favorite bad boys from BtVS. All in all, I'm fascinated. Excellent story. Keep it coming! |
