If this is how the Hat judges the 1st years then I'd definitly be put in Ravenclaw. I rarely ever study except for the 5 minutes before the test. And you know what! I'm in honor classes at my school! Oops, sorry for ranting and bragging. Iwas just caught up in the moment, you know?

interesting view of Ravenclaws. However in canon Hermione says the Hat wanted to put her in Ravenclaw at first, so it's not that she's not brilliant enough for the house.

Personally I believe it was her reckless courage that got her into Gryffindor, first showcased when she took the fall for the troll incident. (Remember that her school record and teacher approval are so important to her and she risked them for people who had been consistently nasty to her.) She's just too pro-active to be a Ravenclaw.
