This was just lovely. Very professional. I had to keep reminding myself I was reading fanfiction and not a licensed Dark Shadows novel. The best DS fan fic I have ever read.

Wonderful chapter!! You wrote well from Willie's pov and his anguish. It felt like I was reading the story right from the scripts. The eerie beginnings of Barnabas and Willie blands well in your story.

Feelings of anguish, dispair, loathing and fear oozed out of this chapter with great force. Liked how you brought the reader up to date with this disturbed character and why he "is" the way he is.

I love DS with Barnabas in it. :) It's so great to imagine Josette and Barnabas in the "same" story, in RT! Now, will they meet? I'm guessing they will! Great writing; enjoying this. So, where's Barnabas? ;)

WOW Josette returns? And Maggie's dead. Wonder if anyone will think Josette likes like Maggie and mistake her for the 20th century woman? Not Barnabas, I'll better.

I laughed really hard at his musings about the devil himself swallowing Barnabas whole, but now as he learned the details of Barnabas' curse he feels different towards Barnabas. Oh, wow. GREAT chapter! You do a perfect job of telling the backstory of Barnabas, Josette and Angelique in a way that fits the canon, yet fleshes it out and fills in the gaps very believably. I especially like the way you describe Barnabas' emotional and psychological reasons for being with Angelique initially, and then his growing love for Josette. Of course, as always, you write Willie very well. A very well-done chapter - and a cliffhanger! Aagh! I'm glad to hear that the difficult part is almost over and soon you'll be updating much faster! (Just the teeniest of teeny nitpicks: you write "He saw Barnabas’s reflection in the pane," but Barnabas doesn't have a reflection - except when the cameramen goof, of course, LOL)
