Wow this is brilliant! Peter doesn't get enough love... even from JKR. I can't see Peter as starting out evil, and this explains his motivations perfectly. I've only found one other good Peter story. So glad I found this.

when i read harry potter and the promise ring i never even thought why would he do save ginny & i never thought about why he betrayed james and lily (i thought that lily was in griffendor ) but thats a good idea!

I'm very interested in learning why oh why Wormtail did what he did even in 1981 (and in Promise Ring)
But i'm quite doubtful that he was treated so badly by the other Marauders (think about Remus and his condition and Sirius and his relationship with his family), we need to found what was good in him that drove the four of them to become The Marauders.
Ok, that said i liked this, just one thing he must be a very fast thinker to think all of this in so few minutes :-)

Anyway, I liked this story a lot, though personally, I think back in Hogwarts, Wormtail was actually a lot mroe than the "yes-man" as you and most of the characters have put it. The Marauders were friedns and equals in thier Hogwarts years, even if some were better in more ways than others.

Anyway, thanks for the great read. I'll keep a lookout for your next work.
