I really enjoyed this story, and am delighted to finally come across one where Sam finally stands up for herself and demands changes she wants in her life and refuses to back down or to let Jack say no to her. In so many other stories, they always argue back and forth as to who is more important to the program; and I've always thought to myself "what about what Sam, the woman, wants?" Seems everybody wants her for what she can do for the program and the country and the world and completely forget there's a real human being there who has needs - so I really like this story, because of that. And that she gets Jack, of course, too. Thank you.

Ha! I've been waiting for someone to write about Sam flattening Pete and showing him just how strong and independent she is!
