I have intended to R&R this for a very long time, and it's worth the wait. :) Your What Price Fury is filled with angst and complicated feelings. It is a well written AR, and even if I don't like the idea of Alexander behaving so horribly towards his dearest friend, I can *enjoy* the angst, intrigue and the Companions trying to interfere. I especially like *your* Cleitus. It's good to find him alive in this story.

*Your* Alexander treats Hephaestion horribly. He rejects him cruelly before the Companions when he needs him the most. I feel so sorry for Hephaestion in this. He has recently lost his father Amyntor, and now he risks to lose his Beautiful Golden One, too. The way back to reconciliation will be very long, indeed, and Alexander will have to make great efforts to get his True Steadfast Friend back!

Grumble aside, I'm very happy to see an update of what has become the only story I've followed for all the years it's been in 'the making' (how long has it been now). Glad to see some light heartedness into this dark (and entirely to my taste I can assure you) story. Threesome, can't wait!

well, Rothalion, I'm glad to see updates from you because you've been silent for a long time now. I know you had some problem with internet connexion and I hope the new year will be better for you :)
Now, about THIS story, you already know what I think because I had reviewed one of the last chapters you sent to a LJ community. You write so well. Such powerful writing. Seriously: I find a power and strength in your writing, I can find few writers with your powerful style, and you have some passage that is simply wonderful. But,I don't understand this story. I don't understand your characters, and mostly your Hephaestion and Alexander. They are just so sick for me. Hephaestion is just a cruel,sad and jealous man who had been abused by nearly the entire army (or at least it looks so) and who allows people to treath him without respect, just as Alexander's sex toy (a little masochist too); Alexander alternates a blind rage and a cruel and ravaging authority with weack moments when he seems Hephaestion's stupid puppet (chapter 14, for example). And I don't understand their relationship and the meaning of this story. But I have the same problem with all your stories, I think: yes, I read all your stories because I like your writing, but I can't stand your characters. I think you could write so many BEAUTIFUL stories, you're very talented, so I hope you'll write a new story soon.

Happy to see Heph joyful/playful, and taking the unexpected action of allowing Xenos to be with him and Alexander, - sharing both his lovers, but I hate it when he is hurt, and he seems to have so many cruel injuries.

IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR!

I read this story a long time ago, and searched the internet religiously until I found it again. You write beautifully, and I was moved to tears on more than one occasion. So full of misery, so full of misplaced love. Oh, now I am crying again...

This is a wonderful story. I enjoy the complex relationship between Alex and Heph. Xenos is great. Please write more - all of your stories are interesting and well written.

This story is beautifully written and heartbreaking. Some of its very hard to read, but no doubt because of the brutality of the times they lived in, has some ring of reality to it. It's sort of like waiting the next daily dose of a favorite soap opera. I can't wait to see what happens next, but do want a happy ending. I know that's sappy, but I hate to see Alexander with Hephaistion.

This story simply brings tears to my eyes. I can't believe Alexander would be such a little bastard (no real slur intended). I feel so sorry for Hephaistion, but I do love the way you have Alexander begging for Hephaistion to allow him to tend to his needs and bathe him. It's very, very sweet and so opposite of the first chapter.
