I like Naruto's description of love here :)

So, I've just realized that I have never reviewed this story. I could've sworn I had, but apparently, I haven't. My bad.

This is easily my favorite NaruGaa story in the history of ever. Both Naruto and Gaara's characterizations are spot-on, and the writing style itself flows perfectly. It's well-edited, the spelling is great, the grammar is great, and the plot of the story itself is completely believable. The descriptive language is excellent- there are several moments in this story that I could practically see while I was reading them. I love the NaruGaa pairing, and the way you've written it here, it seems completely natural and in-character, which is often a difficult feat.

In particular, I love the scene with Naruto and Gaara in the ramen bar, as well as the rest of their little tours around Sunagakure. I really do like seeing Gaara in his village before he became Kazekage, and you paint a very vivid picture of it here.

One little nitpick, though- I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this, but "especially given what happened with the woman who was supposed to be taking care of him." I'm pretty sure you're talking about Yashamaru here, and... well, in spite of all appearances, Yashamaru was a guy. It's a pretty minor error, though.

All in all, excellent work!

we, naruto/gaara is a difficult pairing, and you got it down so good! At first, i thought Gaara's emotional vulnerability makes him ooc, but the idea that he would mask it almost perfectly, choosing to reveal it to Naruto in the end, turned it into a natural feature in their relationship.

Also, great structure, both in action and relationship evolution.

wow! I absolutely loved all of this fic, but the ending was perfect. =]

This was cute, right up until the very end. I guess it's personal preference, but I would have really preferred if it had stayed "brotherly love", maybe because it's closer to canon. Other than that, I enjoyed reading it. Itachi isn't really in character at all, but he's not important anyway. haha. Thanks for sharing.

i love how .. shy? gaara seems. but it's not too corny or cliche and naruto is sweet-ish. and they are still kind of in character.

i just read it and finish. and the scroll back to the beginning and read again, and the cycle goes on and on and on.
