 Warg 7/8/06 . chapter 2Hey..
Loved this one too..
The tune is very different from the last.. harsher.. metallic if u will.. that adds hugely to the atmosphere as well the scene.
The flow is hurried*in the best possible way _) and desperate and altogether demanding.
I found myself reading the "action" bit twice.. a hard to follow..
The ending as with the last leave a tune that just escapes.. that u want to follow..
But this has been a good while untouched.. i do hope it is carried on...
Will be looking forward to that!

 Warg 7/6/06 . chapter 1Hey..
Awesome stuff here..
Loved the subtle parallels between ur character and her past.
The descriptions are wisping—moving.
The drive to rise beyond and the touches of her own past added gloriously to the flow of the fic. Brilliant touch keeping the “common thieves” common and unfocused.. plays to both the realistic and the supernatural element of the scene. Lovely contrast.
The ending was bare and beautiful.. leaves a taste for more.. |
omasuoniwabanshi 11/25/05 . chapter 2I liked this story too. The thought of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu being handed down generations into the future is a very romantic notion. Zephram reminded me a lot of Hiko, taking in orphans, rigorously training them, etc. I was a tad confused by the ending though. I guess I wanted to know more about what actually happened. (plus I wanted the story to be longer so I could read more of it!) |
omasuoniwabanshi 11/25/05 . chapter 1Lovely story! Even as a ghost, Kenshin still protects his own. The leaves were a very nice touch - reminded me of his fight with Shishio during the Kyoto arc. Kammie was a wonderful O.C., and allowing her to become proactive instead of frozen with fear developed her character nicely.
Well done! |
skenshingumi 11/12/05 . chapter 1What an unusual and utterly charming story. I look forward to reading more. |
Tairi Soraryu 10/28/05 . chapter 2QuickEdit shall die a horrible, bloody, fiery death in the depths of nine hells. I just can't bring myself to use it..._
Nice chapter, again. I do like seeing how the Himura/Kamiya line continues, even so far in the future, though I personally can't see Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu being used for such a thing as personal revenge.
I love your summary/intro line: "He does anything she asks, and when she asks for death, he cannot help but obey her." It's truly a moving sentiment, and a powerful one. Good job. |
Tairi Soraryu 10/28/05 . chapter 1Nice chapter! Very interesting take, never would have thought about this POV.
One point: Dojo and sheds don't have shoji (rice paper) screen doors; both would have solid wooden doors, as shoji is way too easy to destroy and break into. Other than that, beautiful beginning! Thanks for the update, and keep up the good writing. |
sueb262 10/27/05 . chapter 2This a wonderfully imagination AU, that retains all the glory and pain of the canon. These characters are recognizable descendants of Our Heroes, and your story is touching, tragic, and beautiful. |
anon 6/6/05 . chapter 1 Really Really good, i loved the ending. |
Nanaia 2/20/05 . chapter 1Kellen! I finally got the time to read and review your fic. I’m so glad I did! This is an excellent start. First, I love your writing style, it really captivates me. You were able to build an incredible tension throughout the story. My eyes kept fix on the screen and getting wider wit amazement. I definitely loved how you used the leaves, in an amazing way it brought the story close to RK world. Very well done! I also love your descriptions; they are so realistic! There were some very minor mistakes (I can point them out to you if you like, just PM me at the forum, ok?) Great job! I can’t wait to read another chapter! |
Wistful-Eyes 2/16/05 . chapter 1Very cool story idea. I like it. And perhaps you've already had the idea, but descendents of Yahiko and Tsubame, up to a certain point, at least, would know the Himura-Kamiya descendents. After all, unlike everyone else, Yahiko seemed to stay in Tokyo with Kenshin and Kaoru. And of course there's Enishi. You never know if he had kids. (Actually, scratch that, he's a little too unstable to have a family... :P Well, you never know.)
I'm interested to see the characters you make with the strong blood of Kenshin and Kaoru. I want to be proud of all of them. ;P Hoping to see different, yet good people... but even good people can be led astray (Kenshin...). Yup, I'm definately curious. See ya! |
Dread Pirate Rinja 2/15/05 . chapter 1I'm really glad to see you went through with your plot bunny idea! You've done an EXCELLENT job with the idea - what a beautiful opening piece to start with! I love it so far! :3
I'd love to pour out my lavish compliments on this opening 'vignette' of sorts in greater length, but sadly, I have shotokan in about 20 minutes. XD Great job so far, and I definitely look forward to reading more of these!
Jaa!
