laura sedai 2007-05-27 ch 40,	abuseVery good story, I loved it! However, the last chapter seemed a little rushed compared to the rest of the stroy. Maybe you could expand it a little? Have the warden thinking after Tony's left or hear about Sanchez and the Mexicans' reactions?

JackAddict 2005-08-29 ch 40,	abuseI've read the whole story now, couldn't write a review to each chapter individually, I just had to go on reading ;). as a former english major at the uni, I think this is a really well thought through, well planned and well written story, the characters have a past and a depth, though it is clear you can't go into depth with every character, and it's not necessary either. I can easily imagine this was a possible scenario for tony's time in prison. cons aren't too keen on feds, and to the guards, he's just a traitor. no-one would as much as blink if he had died. good thing he didn't :D. I can easily picture him struggling with thoughts of escape and suicide but still somehow managing to make it. anyway, I loved this story and will soon tackle the other long one, in federal custody

down-under 2005-06-06 ch 40,	abuseTHAT WAS BRILLIANT! Tony was a real hero in prison. He dealt with all the crap thrown at him by both guards and prisoners alike. He managed to avert a further bloodbath and even saved the life of supervisor Lee when Perez wished to break his neck. I liked best the part of Tony being a middle-man dealing with the rival Mexican gangs. Unfortunately Tony's talents remained unappreciated by prison wardens leading him into trouble on countless occasions. This story was extremely well researched - you haven't spent any time inside, have you? Hope you have a chance to write a new story soon.

What a relief it must be for the slave to leave behind his shackles. That confined environment where everything is the inverse of that on the outside. The controlled, impersonal surrounds that stiffle the soul. Now Tony is free; and who can doubt he has earned that freedom? But for how long and in what form will the ghosts of bondage encircle his being? Good luck buddy, you'll need it!
