Lattelady 8/27/06 . chapter 1Very nicely written. You came up with a much happier saluition to the problem these to have then the movie. Well done. |
 Terry L. Gardner 2/3/06 . chapter 1Wow! Sigh... |
epalladino 1/4/06 . chapter 1Sweet. Interesting idea to have the husband return. I loved the way you worked it out. Beth Palladino |
Chantal 9/28/03 . chapter 1 That was... wow. The part where Richard shows up is nicely spooky, and you really feel Carolyn's anguish at being reminded of a part of her life she's trying hard to forget. And I thought the idea of the vows was super! Thanks a thoroughly enjoyable read! |
 MidKnight2501 6/25/01 . chapter 1Excelent! i loved it |

Kathy 5/9/01 . chapter 1 It is a great story. I always loved that series. Thank you for sharing it. |
ice princess deluxe 4/25/01 . chapter 1"The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" has got to be my all time favorite movie. I'm glad to have been able to have had the chance to read a piece of writing that is both well written and true to the character's personalities. Moving the timeline up to the 70's was a creative little twist, and you put in what every story should have: a happy ending. I absolutely loved this |
Sonia 4/25/01 . chapter 1Denise, this was brilliant. Any chance of a sequel? |
Catherine E. Grant 4/12/01 . chapter 1This is such a beautiful story...it really does the show justice! If only this could have happened. You should write some more. |
Kathy 3/23/01 . chapter 1 Gee, I had no idea that Carolyn had such a rotten life. Almost makes me not recognize the character at all.
She can't marry the captain, HE'S DEAD. I think this couple is one of the most romantic ever because they can't have each other, it's a bittersweet romance.
And I thought her husband name was Robert because in the ep where her inlaws come, his father when he talks about him calls him Bobby.
However, let me state I'm glad someone else appreciates this show, I just never knew they had such bad lives |
Knuckles 3/17/01 . chapter 1 Another fantastic job! You took something that had been left unmentionaed and g( What were Carolyn's and her children's relationships with their late husband and father? If they could see and respond to Captain Gregg then why wouldn't they do the same for their own deceased patriarch- unless none of them particularly missed him? ) It was a gap in the show's logic that a widow would long for the ghost of a man she had never met In Life yet NOT do this for her husband! BTW, until the first half of the 20th century, widows and other close members of some African tribes painted themselves white- to disguise them in order PREVENT the recently departed's ghost from visiting them and it is believed that the European custom of wearing black for mourning evolved from the same idea in pagan times!
Anyway, this was a most intriguing *triangle* to say the least! It was good for all those unresolved conflicts and unsaid things (on ALL parts) to be cleared up!
Hmm, I wonder what Carolyn's reaction might be if Richard shows up with a ghostly 'fiancee'? Great job! |
 denise g 3/14/01 . chapter 1 Thoroughly enjoyed this story! |
