I loved this story, but it was sad that she just left Harry and Ron without a word. And Ihave a question about this part:

“Who is it?”

Hermione paused. Out of the whole conversation, this was the hardest part.

“Hermione, who is it?”

Hermione took a breath and then said the single word that could destroy her.

“Me.”

I dont get it. What were they asking?

I found this story was absolutely brilliant. One thing though. If this is the standard all fanfics should be at, some have some catching up to do! Very good.

I love time travel fanfics. I especially loved the whole Sirius coming back. I always thought it was one of JKRs biggest mistakes to kill Sirius (maybe second only to killing Fred) and I always like it when authors create some kind of loophole, no matter how irrational and unbelievable they are. Anywho, this is an amazing work and I hope you write more time travel fics!

I know you wrote this a couple of years ago, but I thought I would review anyways. I loved this story. I think it's one of the best I've read. I was going to read the sequal, but when I saw it wasn't completed, I wanted to leave it here with some form of an ending. Thanks for the read.

Amazing story! You do realise you had me so very worried after chapter 9? I really loved the story, it was most definately different from other time-travelling fics! Oh and HiBob is right - Bellatrix Lestrange was born in 1951, meaning she started Hogwarts in 1962 or 1963 (the Marauders would have started in about 1970/1971 - so Bellatrix was unlikely to have even been at Hogwarts at the same time as them!) and Narcissa was born in 1955 - according to HP Lexicon, a v.good site for details!

I was bored so I started looking through various C2 archives. I came across one with story after story of people going back in time or forward in time. You said this was better than it sounds. Boredom said I should call your bluff.

Halfway through, I can find only one fault with your story, although I admit I may be wrong. Bellatrix Black (if that's who Bella is) was Narcissa's older sister. She wouldn't have been there. I said I may be wrong because I wrote a story which had a wizarding boy trapped in the muggle world and later was reminded that Dennis Creevey's father was a milkman.

As to the story so far, You are already far ahead of the rest of the pack. Your characters actually show distinct personalities instead of the usual cloneness. That is a big plus. Pairing Hermione with Remus is no surprise but, again, you handle that on the human level. There is something about how the other mauraders tease Remus that lends to the believability. And I think that shows the strength of your story.

This strikes me not so much a Hermione meets Harry's parents story as a little girl lost story. As Hermione learns to cope with her new surroundings, and shows off her skills, she is constantly reminded of what she has lost. She is also reminded that, while she has lost, there are also things to gain.

On that note, I will take a break from reading and do those things I didn't feel like doing that now have to be done. I hope to get back soon and read the rest of this gem you have written.
